The rapid beeping of the heart monitor was the only thing circling his mind as he paced in his living room.

It was the only thing he heard when he grabbed the gun off its shelf.
When he launched the decanter through the window.
When he stared intently at the gun in his hand.
The monitor. The regret.

That's all it took to break him out of his stupor.
Without a second thought, he rushed to the hospital. His parents weren't home so he didn't have to worry about explaining where he was going.
He was drunk, irrational, and on foot, yet that wasn't stopping him from getting to see Luis.
His mind was a confused blur of rapid emotions.
What would he say to him? What could he say to him?
He had no fucking clue.
Would he cuss him out for actually going into a fight with him? Or apologize and beg for his forgiveness?
No, no, no, option two was guaranteed no matter what happened or what Luis says, he is apologizing!
But how?
Would Luis even listen? He probably doesn't even want to see me.
As the adrenaline from the text was starting to wear off, his brain was slowing down and he was starting to lose stamina. He decided to stop at a crosswalk and catch his breath. It was then that he realized two things:
One: He has no idea how to act around Luis when he gets to the hospital.
And two: he still had the gun in his hand.
He ran seven blocks with a fucking gun in his hand.
Jesus Christ, he's losing his mind.
He tucked the gun in the front of his jeans and hid it under his shirt. He looked around to make sure no one saw him with it before dashing off again.
Passing the nurses and doctors (who might have tried to stop him and got cussed out), he finally stopped at Luis' room doorway.

Luis was panting deeply into the oxygen mask as he tried to calm from the shock of--
Where the hell was he?
Everything was blurred together. He was moving too fast to actually catch sight of where he was.
He heard the heart monitor beeping, the humming of machines surrounding him. He felt his Mamá squeeze his hand. She was leaning over him calling his name and telling him to breathe.
What do you think he's trying to do, not?
He wanted to roll his eyes, but with the way his head was feeling... that was a no-go.
Wait. Oxygen mask, beeping, humming, his Mamá freaking out--

He's in the hospital.
Knowing that, he started to calm down. His breathing evened out as he relaxed. He turned to his Mamá and she burst into tears.
She cried her relief into his hospital gown as he watched practically stiff.
Luis wanted to comfort her. Say something that would make this okay. He tried to speak but his throat felt like a desert and inferno in one. Luis settled for putting his hand on his Mamá's head.
She looked up at him with tear-stained cheeks and water-filled eyes.
"You have no idea how truly terrified I was," Marta's voice was hoarse sounding wet and dry at the same time.
Before Louis could respond in any way, an abrupt sound from the doorway caught both the Navarros' attention.

Sofi- tbh I’m kinda neutral about her because sometimes I could not stand her and sometimes I really liked her. Some of her scenes really do hit home and I do see parts of myself in her so I really enjoyed those aspects
Pablo- a dickhead, we do not like him, I hope he gets what he fukcing deserves in the next season
Natalia- mans gonna end up getting killed or going to prison the stupid bitch
Maria- the WORST type of girl, if I saw her in real life I’d beat her the fuck up but pablo shouldn’t have treated her like that because she’s pregnant and it is equally his fault
Isabella- what can I even say.... an icon. A queen. We love her and I lovedddd her development it was so good
Luis- my bby- they really fucked him over like that, I’ll never forgive them
Gerry- He was jus-... I-... I’m just so baffled, they really chucked everything on him like how is he gonna be the one to kill 2 people. I hate him, he is a bastard but they did him dirty af by making him shoot javi.
Javi- I’m sorry but he is so precious and needed to be protected. I know he was a dick in the past but you can see that he did change because he never let anyone get bullied and was terrified when sofi jumped into the pool,
he deserved so much better and if he is actually dead I’m gonna be v disappointed
Raul- erm wtf. Ngl I clocked that he was the hacker as soon as they started to investigate javi cuz there was still 3 eps left so they weren’t gonna expose it that soon. At first I wouldn’t have minded for sofi to end up with either javi or Raul but Raul became the worst. When we find out why he did everything it’s the perfect insight into a very toxic and manipulative person. He is willing to do anything to anyone for sofi. One thing I wish they would have done is made Raul shoot javi, just because it would have made a lot more sense because he hated javi for taking sofi away from him and javi’s death would have been so much more impactful imo
Headteacher- the worst character, it breaks my heart that luis was going through so much pain and the bastard did nothing. Also where there no other teachers??!????? Cuz it seemed like there were only like 3 when it looks like a big school 😐
Overall- I enjoyed it, it was good and an easy binge It’s like elité, gossip girl and You and that’s was balanced very well. I’d give it a solid 7.6/10. The only people I liked were javier and Isabel....and that’s it. I kinda hated everyone else.... I also wish it was less white because it does take place in Mexico sooo...and one thing I HATED was the soundtrack, I’m sorry to say but it was awful and it really took away from the impact of the scenes , I really hope that they improve it in the next season. Also the whole malarkey with sofi’s dad.....like what even was that and why was nothing explained, it better be in the next season.

When Gerry said that when he finds the real hacker that he’s going to kill him and Sofi says that he learned nothing really is true. Like he really did mean to kill Luis. He just feels a bit bad cause he wasn’t the hacker. Gerry is violent and being in the closet is no excuse. He irritates me so much, and his follower friends are idiots too, I don’t even remember their names with how irrelevant that are. Raul exposed/manipulated. Gerry is a murderer and bully. Like both are bad but whose worse
Yes I agree. I don't think he meant to kill Luis, but he certainly did. The path he was going down, he would've killed him even without Raúl causing the fight. Gerry had internalized homophobia and hurt a kid, bullied him, tortured him, made his life a living hell, and eventually killed him just because he was different and quiet. It's sick. I do think he felt bad when it actually happened because he realized what he did was an asshole move, but Sofia was completely right. He learned absolutely nothing. I think he wanted to kill Raúl because he wants to push the blame onto someone else. He wants to get rid of the guit and be like "oh look Raúl was the one who actually did it" just to make himself feel better. Clearly he learned nothing from his first mistake. I really don't like him, he's disgusting and I hate everything he did. Sadly, this person actually exists all around the world. There are many people like this and it's sickening. I love his actor though, he really did his job and made me hate him haha!
