I am still writing We Are Own Muse. I don't have a lot of readers for that; however, I do have user on ao3 named video_tape who have read and commented on every chapter (I've also read their FOB stuff. They're an awesome writer).

I'm not sure what their username is here on Tumblr but, if they see this, shoutout to them for reading and commenting on my story!

Here's a sneak peek of a script I've been doing for a future scene/chapter:

INT. BASEMENT STUDIO – NIGHT Stein’s in the producer chair, headphones half-on, bouncing to a new track. It’s moody. Deep bass. Floating harmonies. Haunting, but beautiful. Very her. But layered in—soft, distorted—are vocal stems Patrick recorded a few weeks ago. Him just riffing. Humming. Scatting ideas into the mic. He walks in with two mugs of tea. PATRICK: You’ve been down here for three hours. Please tell me you remembered to eat. STEIN: I ate a granola bar. PATRICK: The same one from your hoodie pocket? STEIN (deadpan): No, the one from your basket of granola bars… hypocrite. She takes the tea, then swivels the monitor toward him. STEIN: I want you to sing on this. Patrick blinks. PATRICK: Wait—what? STEIN: I want you to sing on this. Just check this out She hits play. The track breathes out of the speakers. Low synths. Percussion like footsteps on tile. Then Patrick’s voice—warped, stretched, woven into the sound like memory. STEIN: That’s from your voice notes folder. You were playing around in G minor. I built around it. Patrick’s eyes widened. PATRICK (quiet): This is… beautiful. STEIN (grinning): ‘Ppreciate it. Now get in the booth. PATRICK: Wait—wait wait wait. You want me to— STEIN: Just sing that little part from the beginning. And maybe a low harmony under the hook I’m even taking the reverb off the mic to give you some room to do your thing. PATRICK: Love, my voice is very expensive. STEIN: So are my beats yet look at where we are. Patrick stares at her. Then shrugs. PATRICK (chuckling): Ok. He heads toward the vocal booth. Stein queues the track. Focused. Before he closes the door: PATRICK (playfully): You know, next time you’re paying me for this, right? Stein laughs. STEIN (into the talk-back mic): No, I’m not.

I have not given up on it, I'm just not as hyper fixated on ML as I was when I started it.

I came past this electronics and appliance store with different size TVs on display in the store window, all playing the news. I stopped when I saw the headline under Nadja Chamack.

UPDATE: CHAT NOIR ROBS CARTIER

“Don’t be bemused, it’s just the news! This is Nadja Chamack reporting live from Arc de Triomphe. A few blocks from the renowned jewelry store, Cartier. It was just a few hours ago where it was reported that Chat Noir, Paris’s alleged super-criminal, had stolen over a million euros worth of jewelry. Witnesses say that they saw a black blur rush towards the Arc de Triomphe and disappear there.”

The scene cuts to a clip of the police chief holding a press conference outside of the precinct. Behind him were other officers and his colleagues by his side, and the sound of camera clicks can be heard from off-screen. 

“I know that we all want to believe that some powerful villain is the cause of this crime. But I assure you, there are no gods among us. Whoever is responsible for this crime will be found and held responsible for his crime.”
