Sasaki Maguro - Puyo Puyo

realistic: Maguro’s typical “audible sparkle” is more of a casual, bright tone of voice he uses the majority of the time. He’ll drop it when he’s in a serious conversation or being more ‘real’ with people, but it’s become so synonymous with him that it’s basically like an accent by now.

while it may not be realistic it is hilarious: Maguro is painfully genre-savvy and knows his way around typical sci-fi and fantasy tropes and clichés, to the point where he’ll describe some of the wild things that happen to him and his friends in those terms. He’s also the resident connoisseur of memes and cursed images, much to the chagrin of his friends.

heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends: While Maguro enjoys the excitement that’s come to their lives since the events of 7, he’s also a little scared. Risukuma seems like he fits in better in Primp Town than he ever did in Suzuran, and Ringo gets along with the magic school kids like a house on fire, while Maguro’s just sort of...there in the background. He knows he’s a sidekick, and while he’s mostly okay with that, he does worry about being left behind and losing Ringo and Risukuma, his friends practically since he could walk, because he’s just...Maguro, jack of all trades master of none, destined to spend the rest of his life gutting fish, probably. And he was fine with that thought, as long as he was sure his best friends would always be a part of his life. But now, things are a lot more messy. Most of the time, that’s fine. Sometimes? He wishes things hadn’t changed. 

unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own: Maguro’s eyes don’t technically make people fall in love with him unless they’d be attracted to him anyway; Klug was just a really oblivious bi disaster who saw a pretty boy and got mad about having feelings. Mostly, they make people more inclined to think of him positively. Or scrambles their brains and makes people pass out, it’s a toss-up. Maguro insists he doesn’t have any supernatural qualities despite this and his pointy teeth--there might actually be some demon in his family, but if there is he couldn’t really care less.

i had a feeling youd say that

under a cut bc i rambled so much oh gosh

realistic headcanon: she has adhd and autism!! im happy i can put this as realistic cause i feel like theres enough evidence to back this up, such as her being referred to as forgetful (or easily distracted?? idr and i dont feel like booting up one of the games to double check), has special interests (math!), VERY logic-brained, and even seems to stim (swinging her arms in some spell animations, i like to think she sings to stim too)

unrealistic, but hilarious: she can and will just casually split an apple in half with her bare hands to share with friends. does not understand why this surprises people. also funnier when you know that i hc ringo as rather short compared to most others, which makes it even more surprising

heart-crushing and awful but fun to inflict on friends: she’s really bad about being too self-sacrificial. if something is bothering her but it doesn’t concern anyone else, she will not say a word about it until it’s too late to help her

for example she had a really bad energy crash at the beginning of sixth grade and no one but her teachers and family knew because she hid it from her friends which caused her grades and her mental health to suffer (this was mainly because her adhd and autism was unmedicated and undiagnosed at the time and she was fresh out of the gifted program, so junior high hit her like a truck)

unrealistic but i reject canon: ok i have two because theyre so short. one is that shes a lesbian (she’s also questioning demigirl but she isnt sure yet) bc yes

also her apple she carries everywhere is a scented squish toy, which explains why throughout her adventures she’s never had to replace it or anything like that
