Do you like this Video Game Song? #3080
I like it and I've definitely heard it before
I like it and it sounds familiar
I like it and this is my first time hearing it
I don't feel strongly about it or have a complex opinion
I don't like it and I've definitely heard it before

O My Canadian Friends:
Time to tackle Bill C-22.
First Reading text.
Part 2 currently reads:
Title: Supporting Authorized Access to Information Act
Description: An Act respecting the obligations of electronic service providers in relation to authorized access to information
"Part 2 enacts the Supporting Authorized Access to Information Act. That Act establishes a framework for ensuring that electronic service providers can facilitate the exercise, by authorized persons, of authorities to access information conferred under the Criminal Code or the Canadian Security Intelligence Service Act. It also makes related and consequential amendments to the Intelligence Commissioner Act."
This bill, among other things, requires that the service provider hold a second digital key to every private message and text you send, on any platform, to be made available to the Canadian government under the authorities above. Including creating a process to facilitate its release to foreign governments. The privacy, surveillance and hackability implications are just the most visible issues.
Here's a good explainer, from "Don't Surveil Me", a volunteer, unfunded group connected to OpenCivics.
I especially like the final section on actions to take, from the personal to the political to the creative - ideas that can be adapted for all kinds of needs.
More actions to take., from OpenMedia
I have not yet seen a petition to recall or rewrite this bill, but it has just recently passed its first reading. I'll add petition links here as I find them.
Behold: the list! More than 150 prompts ripe for the taking! Now everyone can pick something cool (even if you didn’t submit anything) (no need to claim it anywhere) and start drawing it or writing it or any other creative verb of your liking. Next stop: June 19th, when we’ll all post together to celebrate GT’s original anniversary (there will be a reminder with brief posting instructions).
Prompts are numbered for your convenience, in the order they came in. The block divisions are just because tumblr gets twitchy about long numbered lists. Full rules here.
And now, without further ado:
Hello and welcome to the thirteenth edition of Ghost Swap overall, third edition in fest form! As always, we are here to create fanworks based on each other’s ideas, to eventually post them all on the game’s anniversary to celebrate it with a bang!
Schedule: Prompting begins: May 12th Prompts are posted: May 19th Works are posted: June 19th
It’s a simple schedule for a simple format. First we gather the prompts, our big pile of cool shiny things, then we pick whatever we like and fill it, with no intermediate steps.
At the form, you can submit up to eight separate prompts, anonymously (“Jowd orb”) or listing your name at the start of each one if you would like to be tagged in any potential fills (“laughingmango - Jowd orb”). You can also specify fic or art if you want. If nothing is specified, the prompt is meant for either medium.
In each prompt, please write in a loose description of the character(s) you would like to receive and of the situation(s) you would like to see them in. The prompts don’t have to feature completely different characters and situations - one could be a sad take on Yomiel and Sissel’s friendship, another could be post-game Yomiel and Jowd friendship fluff, a third one could be a fantasy AU where Sissel is Yomiel’s familiar. Or the old GSwap staple Rindge/Sith, of course, what is Gswap if not three rats in a trenchcoat and the uncollapsed possibility of Rindge/Sith. Crossover prompts are allowed. As always, you can look at past prompts for inspiration. If you want to avoid something that might come up in filling your prompt (maybe you are prompting a scenario that might lend itself to a shippy reading but you don’t like that ship), state it simply and politely in the prompt itself - there is no separate field for likes and dislikes (“laughingmango - Jowd orb, art, please no Missile swapping Jowd for a ball”).
On may 10th, the list will be published and everyone will be free to pick whichever they like best and create a fanwork based on that request. Late prompters are welcome but will get less visibility. It’s okay if more than one person is working on the same prompt, we don’t have to coordinate. It’s very welcome if one person decides to fill more than one prompt.
As usual, all works will then be published on Tumblr on June 19th, the anniversary of Ghost Trick’s original release.
These light rules mean that you are free to pick what you like and work with the prompt of your dreams. However, there is no guarantee that one of your own prompts will get picked. All the same, from past experience (and last year’s smashing success!) I sincerely hope that among the works posted on June 19th we will all find something that’ll make us happy, regardless of whether we prompted it ourselves or whether it came from someone else with similar (or surprising!) tastes.
These new rules also mean that there is no mod checking that all participants have a work ready to post on the 19th. Honor system: if you submit some prompts, please try, in good faith, to then pick someone else’s prompt and give it a spin. If RL then gets in the way, it happens and that’s okay.
Happy prompting!
IN SHORT: Between now and May 19th (plus stragglers), we will be creating a shared pool of cool ghost trick prompts. That list will be published on May 19th and everyone who has submitted some things will try to pick at least one prompt to fill - there’s no claiming, no assigning, just work on whatever you fancy. And on June 19th, all our works will be published on tumblr to celebrate the anniversary!
someone made a website where you can declare your favorite pokemon & why. let's all see if every pokemon is someone's favorite... Together

THE SHEDDING PATH
The path, it is known, begins in via Sant'Orsola 35, one door among the maze of narrow alleys which spreads underneath Duomo and Cairoli in old Milan. At the end of the path, it is also known, lies a life of happiness, whatever that may mean to you or your dearest friend, whatever that may have meant to the generations of travellers who came before and to those who will come after. And here comes an echo, a shift, a molting, a metaphor, the symbolic weight of the journey, a trick of the mind: you are on the path, you put your foot forward, and the ‘you’ who exists now is not the person who took that step. If you don't stray, if you endure the path, you accept that you two won't reach that destination. Someone will. You will not know them. Do you push forward?
Made for Artenaut* game jam. Optimized for laptops and bigger (fullscreen recommended) but playable on phones. 30 minutes long, each playthrough is unique.

How would you describe a dragon to someone who has never seen a dragon?
"Horse but make it a lizard and give it bat wings and horns"
didnt know how to interpret "make it a lizard" so i wrote lizard and drew an arrow pointing to the horse so people know its a lizard. Also didn't know what bat horns were so I gave it a horned bat nose
"A body like a big cat but completely covered in scales, the head of a crocodile with the horns of an ibex, and the wings of a bat on its back"
On it boss o7, ive mashed all these animals together and threw scales all over it. This the dragon you saw?
"Take a lizard, extend the neck. Add a pair of bat wings to the back. Add horns and sharp teeth."
Seems like we're onto somethin' boss! Though idk how it'd be so fearsome bein such a small thing.
"Big-ass lizard with wings" "big lizard" "Giant lizard" "Big fucking lizard"
don't seem too special?
"Imagine a winged alligator that was 70 feet tall and aware of its existence"
i dont know if this is a dragon but it could definitely be some kind of god
"Dinosaur with wings and horns?"
Dunno which dino you were talkin about so i just picked a random one. Stegosauus :}
"Big snake with legs and horns that can breathe fire"
Ah. Hm.
"A dragon is like a tree, in that it's a made up category for a broadly similar type of mythological creature that has no relationship to other dragons, but you know a dragon when you see one the way you know a tree when you see one."
