Principle #8 is “secondary action” which is the use of gestures or other actions to aid and emphasize the main action. Decided to use my OC, Will, from “Liberty”. She gets a bit fidgety and grumpy when bored

Things I learned:

Cleaner lineart

Using multiple colors to make different actions clearer

Varying actions and their timing

I really enjoyed doing this one. It kinda worked out really well, and after focusing on the different pieces one at a time it felt good to sync them together

Some more wee animation practices (some are older but I still like them). My goal is to compare these to new stuff in 3 years, and see that yes, I am a better animator now.

We have to animate our character lifting something heavy, take three steps, then set it down.
