It comes out harsher than it has any right to be, but almost immediately they’re picking up the intended target. A small, yappy little pomeranian by the looks of things: all fluff and brown coat and currently yipping away at its parent. Apparently the dog had several very colorful opinions about why she needed to be here right now with the nice smelling stuff in the air.
Alex, meanwhile, just seemed to give the dog a polite chiding before the ball of fur was quickly deposited into the giant pocket of their sweater. A pause was given, just to make sure the dog was appropriately settled enough for a little snoot to poke back out.
“... I apologize. I’ve never seen her get so excited and run out like that.”
