For a moment, she kind of just stares up at her blankly. Slowly but surely though, her lips press together, upper one catching very lightly between her teeth as she visibly tries and fails to hold back a smile, oddly delighted at the response she drew from the other. Her fingers pick at a tiny, stray string on her sleeve, blinking down at it before looking back up, eyes all big and bright and something.. curious -- finally having managed to tamp down that wobble of her composure. She shrugs a little. "I don't know what you know or don't know..." she murmurs in that lilting voice of hers, chin dipping a little. "you look like someone who knows lots of things. Why not that too?" It's rhetorical, mostly -- also a bit of cop out. Just kinda talking to talk at this point. She also kinda liked this woman's voice, honestly? but that's besides the point.
Rainer doesn't say 'I am almost fifty Goddamn years old,' because it isn't true (she is much older), and because she isn't sure she could manage it without sounding exasperated, which she is not. She is, however, a little confused.
Difficult to tell, admittedly, with her stone face.
She blinks, folds her hands neatly in her lap, and then unfolds them to repeat the gesture. "Is it an internet thing. You will have to forgive me, I do not have... social media. I am afraid I do not understand the significance of this... six-seven ritual." She repeats the gesture once more, brows drawing together in her concentration.
