Just thinking about anyone wanting to defend him like that blows his mind to the point that he basically short circuits. He can’t deal with it. (Name) is out of sync with the rest of his life experiences. No one outside his family has ever wanted to protect him from something bad. In fact, it’s usually been the opposite, that people want to see bad things happen to him so they can gawk and point and laugh. Anyone who does it to Wendy will probably get a fist to the face, but he’s gotten better about not reacting that way when it comes to himself.
