Get Glowing. The World Needs Your Magic. 💖
Drink Your Way to a Fall Skin Glow from Lisa of LIFEBYLEESE
While we are quick to delight in the apples, pumpkins, and Misfits of autumn, the quick change in season can also leave us scrambling to adjust to new routines, resulting in a few slight missteps. (We blame the swap from flip-flops to boots.) In particular, the cooler temperatures have been wrecking havoc on our formerly glow-y summer skin. Desperate for some TLC, we turned to Lisa Holowaychuk, Holistic Nutrition Counsellor and founder of LIFEBYLEESE, to get us back on track.
Today: look no further than the fridge. That goddess-worthy glow begins from within, and Lisa is here to share three easy ways to revitalize fall skin. (Hint: it involves juice.) Psst—stay tuned for more. Lisa will also be sharing her favourite at-home autumn beauty blends to elevate your seasonal skincare routine.
Skin is in.
It is the one accessory that we can’t put a price on—healthy and glowing skin is not something we can buy! It’s cultivated through love, nourishment, and feeding our skin cells from the inside out. This is the only way.
Skin is our largest organ, and one that acts like a permeable sponge. This means that we can’t hide from what we put on it, and alternatively, from what we put into our bodies to make our skin glow.
As the seasons change, many things start to shift—we welcome back our beloved root veggies, and we pull out our fall sweaters and coats. Our skin is adjusting to the change, too.
Today, I want to share some of my personal favourite juices from the Greenhouse lineup, and demonstrate how they can help take your skin to the next level during this seasonal shift. After all, we can’t discuss the external without first highlighting the internal.
The Good and The Giver
These are two of my all time favourite juices in the whole world—nothing compares! Each is loaded with vegetables. The Good contains romaine, spinach, cucumber, celery, lemon, and Himalayan salt; The Giver is overflowing with kale, collards, rainbow Swiss chard, celery, cucumber, pea and sunflower microgreens, lemon, and ginger. These greens will give you “The Glow.” Although fruit has its place in juice, I think nothing can beat an all greens juice in terms of its alkalizing, detoxifying, and glow-enhancing properties. Drink these two beauties to take your skin to the next level.
Coconut Water
Many often bypass this miraculous beverage, as they are quick to write it off as spruced up water. Not the case! It has a unique chemical composition of sugars, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and cytokines—which have shown anti-aging and anti-cancer effects in research studies. In particular, one of its cytokines, kinetin, has demonstrated strong anti-aging effects on human skin cells. It can delay the onset of several cellular and biochemical characteristics associated with cellular aging, including, most notably, those linked with photo-damaged skin. All hail coconut water! It truly is one of nature’s best hydrators and glow-giving liquids. And of course, Greenhouse’s Coconut Water is the be all and end all. Because of its raw nature, it tastes exactly like the inside of a fresh, young Thai coconut that you could get chopped open on the beach. I promise—there is nothing else like it on the market!
Le Kif
This is a liquid probiotic, which is one of the key aids for glowing skin. Two bodily processes—digestion and hormonal balance—dictate the appearance of your skin. This fermented bottle of greatness provides a helpful digestive boost. You might think that digestion doesn’t have anything to do with skin, but that isn’t the case. It’s the cornerstone of almost everything in your body. Your digestive system is in charge of absorbing nutrients, which are obviously important for healthy-looking skin, and is also responsible for removing toxins, which can cause all those nasty breakouts. It’s widely believed that a well-regulated digestive system can ultimately make you happy in the trifecta—body, mind, and spirit. The added lime and spirulina in this bubbly bottle only adds to its glow-enhancing properties. The more green, the better!

Eat Your Way to Glowing Skin We all strive for glowing skin, but it sometimes seems so unachievable. Like most things in life it all comes down to food and what we feed our bodies is so often reflected in our skin.
