another fun farus fact:

when he’s drunk/tipsy he gets really clingy, mopey and just devolves into grumbly noises.

But it takes a lot to get him to that point.

Takes about 8 glasses of the really hard stuff.

          It had been another day of schmoozing and boozing for Raymond. Despite having been elected with a record majority, there was no resting on your laurels and he was a busy man, and busy men liked to do business with glass in hand. Thankfully he had a rest day from the media, so he could afford to let loose and as he watched the last of today’s engagements walking out of the club, he let his shoulders slump and rested back into the leather of the booth they had been vacating. Glancing around the swanky bar, he let his eyes linger on some people wondering what had them here.

          Minutes passed and he grew bored, so with stiff legs he pushed himself from his seat and moved to the bar, ordering himself another drink. “Rum please,” he muttered, hoping to God no one would recognise him needing a break. Unfortunately he felt the burning of someone staring and he turned with an exasperated sigh. “Can I help you?”

If Bob drinks alcohol in a fic (and there isn’t deeper plot around the drinking ofc) I immediately have to stop reading because it’s one of so few canon things we know about him and feels so against his character

pathetic, in a word. he doesn’t drink much to begin with so he has no tolerance built up. in addition, he has very little body fat and he’s a bit on the slimmer, smaller side so he has no natural tolerance either. that being said, he won’t really drink very much when he’s out, so he never gets drunk in public. even at home, he doesn’t like to drink so much that he loses his composure. mostly, he finds that when he drinks too much ( because it has happened ) his thoughts turn bitter and dark-- a place that he brushes shoulders with day-to-day more than he would like and a place that he doesn’t wish to invite himself into at all.
