I’ve tried formatting this like three different times already and am just giving up lmfaooo idk how to do it on iPad and I haven’t used tumblr in a long time lowkey so my first few posts are gonna be rough 😮💨
Anyways, here’s a snippet from a WooChul WIP I’ve got cooking up 👀 It will be 🔞 and is fully inspired by this post from @mikita-mn ! I don’t wanna spoil too much, I’m only posting this now because I’ve got like three different fics going at once and got a little sidetracked 👉👈
Swift, stolen glances from across the room that grew to become longing, candid stares. Refusal to touch for fear of breaking the fragile foundation they stood upon, only to tear it down and rebuild a new one; made so they could brush shoulders and hook fingers without worry of shattering the illusion.
It really shouldn’t have come as a surprise to Woo Jinchul when after months of coming to know and associate with Korea’s most recent S-rank —an enigma few are granted the privilege of meeting, much less capable of understanding— that he’d find himself growing fond of the younger man.
No.
Fond wasn’t the right word. Not with the way Hunter Sung currently lounged in the passenger seat of his car, easy confidence radiating off of him as he stared out the open window, ebony locks being caught in the wind and blown about without care. While it was a word Jinchul would use to personally describe how he felt for the hunter, Sung Jinwoo was undeniably an attractive man.
The gentle play of shadows across his features as they pass each street lamp, combined with an almost regal bearing he’d begun carrying soon after reawakening, really made Jinchul think that the newly acquired title of Monarch was truly befitting of a man such as him.
It was bizarre, to acknowledge any mortal as capable of filling the position of, essentially, a God, but leave it to Jinwoo to go ahead and find a way to prove such a thing was possible. Not just possible, the hunter took to this role with surprising tenacity. It was just one more thing for the Chief Inspector to add to the growing list of things he found impressive about Jinwoo in his time knowing him.
So, yeah, ‘fond’ only scratched the tip of the iceberg. And when the strawberry blond caught onyx eyes lingering on him a few seconds longer than what could be considered ‘just looking’, it did seem rather laughable how inappropriate the word actually was.
