it  wasn’t  like  him  to  snoop  through  other  people’s  things  intentionally.    he  actually  had  respect  for  people’s  privacy.    well,    for  the  most  part.    chazz  just  happened  to  leave  the  thing  out  on  full  display,    so  hey,    curiosity  to  the  cat,    there’s  no  way  he  couldn’t  read  it  now.    it’d  just  be  cruel.    and  that’s  just  how  chazz  finds  him,    leaning  against  the  dorm  walls  with  his  legs  crossed  and  book  in  hand.    aster  doesn’t  try  to  hide  it  either,    because  why  would  he?    he  wouldn’t  have  committed  the  act  unless  he  was  prepared  to  get  caught.    

‘    you  know  this  isn’t  the  first  time  my  names  been  in  someone  else's  diary  before,    but  I’m  still  honoured.    were  you  going  to  put  hearts  around  it  too?    ’    he  waves  the  diary,    clearly  intent  on  teasing  the  other.    now,    the  real  question  was  had  chazz  written  more  about  him  that  he  hadn’t  gotten  to  yet?

Bonus points: Below the cut for some other thoughts I’ve been thinking & considering.

If I follow through with the idea of Seth (the Au’s Set) having magic, then his hair would be very similar to his old one (It’s a meta I’ve got in place). And as imagined, it is something he tries to cover up. After all, he can’t risk losing his modelling career.

Oh gosh— I both do and don’t. Like— I have so many ideas that revolve around angst when it comes to Atem and his past specifically and at the same time I’m like— he needs a break from all the pain. He is still mentally stable, considering everything he’d gone through. But there are limits where even he can’t endure and it might end up in tears or rage…. Or in the worst case both. Then he might also be capable of murder woop— My Atem specifically has a hard time accepting a really tragic event, like a big loss. (I speak of the time while he was still alive) He was heartbroken the first time when he saw his father crying, then he was shattered when he’d found him in his death bed. [In my headcanon, they had to force him away from hugging onto his father’s lifeless body for too long (they needed to mummify him).] If someone becomes a safe harbor for Atem, and then they’re taken away from him— that sense of security is gone and he would feel like something precious is stolen from him.

Atem had almost lost every dear person in his life, so there’s a chance he could relive the trauma if something similar like this happens again.  Yami doesn’t display a bad form of anxiety in general when it comes to this as this is Atem’s memory-wiped self so his re-collected memories are fragments he’d once felt but doesn’t fully remember. If it was the Atem from the past, he would easily be heartbroken when it comes to losing important people. Not that the post MW wouldn’t— one might grasp how stressed he can be over someone’s safety. To which— now, in Yami’s case, is also shown when he’s being overly protective. He does get startled when his friends’ lives are in danger, so. Another thing that could break Atem’s heart is— of course, when a close friendship ends. Or— at least, a relationship that he deeply holds onto. He hasn’t had a case like this before, but I know it would be a huge deal if let’s say he was left in the dark all of a sudden. Or he’d eventually fallen out with someone due to lack of contact. Tbf, either options are rare cases. Mostly because he trusts the people he surrounds himself with and— he would definitely try to reach out if he hasn’t heard from someone in a good while.

16. Would you like your muse as a person if you met them in real life?

I would! Though, it’s hard to perceive the idea of ‘what if he was real and I met him’ lol. In the real world he prolly wouldn’t be as cool and magical as he is portrayed fictionally. The Manga/Anime is all too perfect. But to think Atem living an ordinary life would be nice— Wait, he’d be a Pharaoh and there’s no way I could meet him lool. tHO I can imagine he woULD be a cool, magical Pharaoh in the real life way! Def would support  him.

81. my muse broke a leg and yours has to take care of mine

“Come on, it’s not that bad.” Jaden protested as he was pushed back into his seat. His lower right leg was covered by a cast, but he was still determined to get around. It was another clumsy accident, taking a tumble down a flight of stairs for not-the-first time. He had been quite surprised when he’d found himself unable to get back up again for once.

A day wasted in the hospital before he’d called Chazz for a lift home. It had seemed the most obvious choice - surely Chazz wouldn’t linger let alone feel the need to stick around and help.

And yet, here they were.

Jaden wasn’t sure quite how it had happened. He’d received a scathing criticism of his clumsiness on the way home. Chazz had then left for an hour before returning with a bunch of his things in tow and an insistence that he was staying.

Now, Chazz was barely letting him do anything. Ordinarily, Jaden might have enjoyed the chance to laze around and have everything done for him but having the choice taken from him was frustrating. Chazz had kept him fed, watered and mildly entertained.

“Come onnnnnn.” He tried, trying to get back up just to be prevented again. “It’s only a couple flights of stairs. I just want to go for a short walk. You can come with me if you’re worried!”

Jaden only grinned, looking up from the absolute mess he’d made of their tiny kitchen. Having the place to himself for once, he’d decided to make pancakes. Only... he didn’t know how to make pancakes, or how to work the oven. It had taken plenty of searching online, the laptop haphazardly balanced on the pile of post Jaden kept meaning to deal with, and he’d mixed up some batter. 

He’d been, perhaps, a touch careless in the process.

Splotches of flour covered several surfaces, part of the wall, plenty of the floor and even Jaden himself - brown hair streaked with white. The stove was covered in splotches of creamy batter where Jaden had missed the frying pan, or it had splashed out. After a certain point, he’d just given up on trying to be tidy with it. He could always clear up later.

He’d gotten quite caught up in the process, and had made far more pancakes than he could possibly eat, although not for lack of trying. It left him with the perfect bribe now, at least.

“Who murders someone who made them pancakes?” He laughed, offering a plate of pancakes piled ridiculously high.
