But what was he supposed to say to that? Sure, he had missed Asuka too, but more than anything? He was getting too caught up on semantics.

"I missed you too." Jaden grinned, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly.

"At Duel Monsters?" Judai blinked, tilting his head. Almost reflexively, he reached for his deck and shuffled them. He glanced down at a couple, thinking over that statement. Judai was confident in his dueling skills, and he'd faced many opponents. He'd even lost, sometimes. Johan had even come close to beating him - could have beaten him had he really wanted to.

There was too many variables. A different starting hand, a different shuffle of the deck. The bond Johan had with his cards played just as much of a role, as far as Judai was concerned. A different day, a different mood... it had been very close. The memory of Johan that day, simply enjoying dueling as much as Judai did, had the brunette smiling.

"I don't know, you might be. Or there could be duelists out there undiscovered yet who are better. Ones who have nobody to play with properly yet, and only they know how good they are right now."
