YAY!
Dear Daisy, thank you for your word of advice. I appreciate it. It's little things like these that make me realize that there is hope, so thank you. I'm about to go to dance practice right now, but I'll be the one who'll be smiling and having a great time. So, thank you for taking your time to give me wonderful advice. -Crystal
Dear Crystal,
I am glad that you are feeling better. And I hope that everything goes really well for you.
Good luck with your dance! I hope you have a really great time.
Daisy
Dear Daisy, recently I've been having low self-esteem issues. Because I am a dancer, I feel as if I'm not skinny enough. Everywhere I look, I always find myself feeling bad because I see girls flaunting their perfect bodies. I wish I can be confident in my own skin, but I just can't seem to do so. I also tried dieting, which means not eating lunch at school. I don't know what to do anymore; I just wish it'd all stop. I need hope. -Crystal
Dear Crystal,
I think that you need to stop concerning yourself about outward appearances and about other people. You just need to do what you need to do. Also, you need to eat lunch. Even if you have to bring in something healthy, just eat. Not eating doesn't actually do anything for you, and really it is really unhealthy. You can die from things like that. So, please eat.
Also, dancing is such a work out, I am sure you are skinny enough. Don't over work yourself. Please, though, it sounds like you are going down a bad path here, so try talking to a professional about this. I don't want you to become anorexic or something. I am sorry if I am making assumptions, but that is how it is starting to sound, and I can tell you that it is never the right way to go. I have seen too many girls and guys of all ages in eating disorder recovery places, and I can tell you that it only gets worse when you indulge in these kinds of thoughts. So please, get help, and don't worry so much about it.
You are fine the way you are, and even if you aren't your strongest now, time and effort will get your where you need to be, and where it is natural for you to be. So continue dancing and try to have fun. Things will be okay if you just don't take it all too seriously.
Daisy
