I know it's on of the worst things for me to do, but I need to start calorie counting again. I need to have control over something in my life. I need to lose weight. I'm so unhappy with my self image right now and I need to improve. Just restarted myfitnesspal and now on my way to go to a cross fit class! Time to put in work!
I have never been keen on running, as I have said before, but since starting my 8 week training plan I am finding it a lot easier.
I have bought myself a new pair of running trainers and have started running outdoors. At the moment I am running a loop around my village, which is just short of 2km, three times a week. This is still sticking to my plan which this week is advising to do 2 min runs 1 min walks x6, which I do whilst out running because my stamina and endurance need working on. I'm still swimming too which is helping with my general weight-loss and fitness.
Running outside is SO much different to on a treadmill that on my first light run I genuinely thought I might pass out or be sick. The elements make such a difference on you speed and running style. This week it has been very windy so I have had to push harder into the wind to make ground.
The route I take has a slight incline to start then has a downhill stretch before evening out flat for a 0.75km or so to a slow and steady decline then a steep uphill to finish. I have tried the route backwards too and have noticed that it is harder on my breathing but I am swapping between the two so that I don't get used to it.
REMEMBER, all this training is for a good cause. I will be running the race for life on Sunday 29th June at Cheltenham Racecourse. I'm running in memory of my Grampy Graham who died when my mum was 18, and my dear friend Hattie who has survived a brain tumour and I am so proud of her.

Weight: 10.10 (+2lbs) Im going to say this gain is muscular, I highly doubt it but I have been so much better with my food this week that I can't think of a reason to put on... I had just had quite a big tea though
Although - 3hours after dinner, I weighed again and was 10.7 (-1lbs than last week) So strange, am going to start weighing in the mornings so that the results will be more accurate.
Exercise:
Monday: Rest day on my Running Plan
Tuesday: Gym - 2min run 2min walk.

Progress: I have felt that my running has improved this week. I definitely feel less breathless and my running techniques is more comfortable. For the week coming I am going to carry on eating well, buy less processed food and drink and start to run outdoors. This will help improve my stamina and endurance and is the next phase (week 2) in my Womens Running Beginners Running Plan.

From looking at my food diary I can definitely see that I need to cut down on processed food and sugars. I have consumed a lot of snack things like chocolate which I don't usually eat ( I blame the shitty weather). I also need to think more about my breakfast and avoid toast as is doesn't fill me up. My aim for the week ahead is too eat cleaner, avoid processed food (bread, chocolate, cheese, chips) and live with the motto: "If i haven't made it, I don't eat it."
WEEKLY FITNESS DIARY:

Wednesday: 1.5km run, 1.5km x-train, 15 min swim

Feeling healthier and fitter this week. In the next week I will be starting my running programme. This is from women's running magazine and is a 6 week plan to run a fast paced 30 mins solid.
I am weighing and measuring myself to monitor my progress over the next 5 months. I will weigh every Sunday (end of the week) and measure on the last Sunday of every month.
I will also be inputting my fitness programme from the past week to show my progress and my fitness level (hopefully) increasing.
As well as this for the first week I will also be listing my daily food intake to see if I can see a pattern in relation to food, energy, emotion and weight. I will be using the Slimming World syns calculator to monitor my treats and naughtiness intake too. This will help me alter my diet to suit my needs.
This is my first ever #foodiefryday feast. Here I make gorgeous paprika chicken, a gorgeous smokey chick with roasted chicken and sweet potato wedges. At under 400 calories per serving its worth giving a go.
