All and all this was a pretty good week in the gym. The first video you will see I didn’t lock out the dumbbell press, I screwed up my axle press, and my log press looked just okay. I will open tell people I’m not good at strongman. Every meet is different. That’s the fun part to it to. Here are my lifts from the past couple of weeks. I’m going to do the Kansas Strongest First Responder/Open Strongman Meet in November. Some of the events are new to my training. One thing I’ve learned at strongman is you are going to suck at a lot of things. It helps humble you and build confidence at starting new things. This week was a tough week. Not physically, but emotionally. - The iron never lies to you. You can walk outside and listen to all kinds of talk, get told you’re a god or a total bastard. The Iron will always kick you the real deal. The Iron is the great reference point, the all-knowing perspective giver. Always there like a beacon in the pitch black. I have found the Iron to be my greatest friend. It never freaks out on me, never runs.
