I’m a sweet toothie
Breakfast has to be my favorite meal of them all. Not only because I’m super hungry when I wake up but because I eat my oatmeal warm and sweet (berries, yeah!). With lunch I’ve been going to the salad bar, which is okay, plenty of healthy choices, but it’s a cold meal. Had some couscous, turkey, pineapple and it was delicious. I managed to resist the salmon’s lasagna, it looked amazing but I just walked past through it.Â
I also managed to downsize the portion of nuts this afternoon, only a table spoon, plus some banana chips (sweet, again), and 2 slices of crisp bread before my workout.Â
I trained really good today (for today’s standards, of course). Burned 200 cal in the treadmill, plus the Squats (25Kg), Overhead press (17.5Kg) and Deadlift (25Kg). It was alright, I think I could take a bit more weight in the squats and deadlifts though, but I guess since this is my first week back I’m still adapting.Â
I was so hungry in the middle of my workout that I couldn’t wait to eat the banana I had on my bag. Still not happy with that, we went to the supermarket and got some dates on the way home. Dates with peanut butter, yum! I managed to empty the PB jar, which might be good, I should lay low on the dates, right?Â
For dinner we had the vegetables soup from yesterday and boiled egg, as I had planned, and guess what? Still craving for sweets. Yes, after all the dates and the banana. So I had an orange after the soup.Â
What’s wrong with me? I wonder if I need to drink more water or something. Or maybe I’m a sweet tooth with no chance of redemption. What to do, what to do...
I’m sore, I’m all sore. I’m walking like Robocop because I’m all stiff and hurting. I can’t wait for this feeling to be over, to feel like I’m back on track and to start to see some progress. Most of the time I just want to get dressed in a large potato sack in the morning and go to work, but damn society doesn’t allow such a thing. So yeah, my super tight black jeans will do...Â
I need a shower and get some sleep. I feel like I don’t even have time for myself now after spending 2:30h in the gym, plus coming home, then cooking and all of a sudden it’s almost 23:30h and I really, REALLY wanted to go to bed earlier than 23:30h today.Â
Oh weekend, please come quickly!
First 3 days
The shakes don't taste that bad. actually. I usually drink one at breakfast and one at lunch but today on my third day since I am staying late I work I switched and ate my meal at lunch and my other shake at dinner because I don't really get a dinner break. It's ok thought. I have my snacks and I will get an apple. So I will be ok. My lunch was a whole wheat wrap, 210 calories, 2 oz of cold cut turkey breast, 50 calories, a piece of cheese 50 calories and spinach. It was delicious. Can't wait to share more moments with you.
I love the hour I spend at the gym everyday. It's the only time when my head is completely clear
Day 8
Today has been an overall good day. I had my protien bar for breakfast and then went home rested because at work I had to clean the railing and they were so dirty my arms started hurting and I was getting really sweaty. Ill do some more working out before bed. Then I surpised my mom at work with some healthy salads. I had a half salad and half sandwhich. I also ate an apple. I have drank a lot of water today as well. So I think it has been an overall good day.
