Ten years later, I began to entertain the idea of stepping into the unknown—a world of clouds, ice, granite, slopes, crevasses, ridges, and seracs. I had a vague idea—perhaps even no idea of the physical and mental challenges of mountaineering, yet I vowed to prepare as best as my nature allowed me to and take the leap. I thought I would find success at the summit, if I even got there. Well, I got there—and found it. Yet not in the way the world describes it. I found out how small we really are in this world. I realized how my priorities in life go beyond a social status, a bank account, and a diploma. I learned to appreciate what I have—whether it's a dollar, an old shirt, or a breath. Above all, I learned to acknowledge the Creator for His creativity and wonders. To me, that's success. #YAHWEH" . . .
