I work at WDW, and from my experience with "friends" it's best not to cover anything up. The main audition is based on body type (height and size) and face. You stand in a room with 50 people and the directors stare at you. You have to look like the other "friends" of the characters, not the characters themselves, and if not, they boot you. Maybe 1 or 2 people are chosen out of the 50, and if you are, there's still two other auditions to pass. Out of 500, maybe 9 people pass the first audition,
(cont. from getitbig- she had to send her message separately because of character limits) “and then there’s a few more auditions to go through to weed people out. If you miraculously pass all of them, and happen to have a tattoo that is coverable, I can’t imagine they’d have too much of an issue. Everything is negotiable, fixable, etc. Disney is good like that.”
That is an entirely valid point. The only reason that i went straight to saying that tattoo’s are a no-no is because they specifically said no tattoos, not even covered up, are allowed for face characters.
I managed to find the exact quote from this audition call page
“No visible tattoos are allowed. This includes any tattoos on the wrist, neck, shoulders, and depending on role, the torso. We do not allow tattoo makeup as an alternative for our performers.”
By all means try out- i really really am not trying to discourage anyone!!!
