the last thought i had last night before falling asleep was wait a minute. getti “i want to eat you forever” and anise “i want to live inside you and become a part of you” is a match made in evil heaven. but getti would be so so so bad for anise without it necessarily being reciprocal that i can’t seriously let it happen. luki would just have no choice but to intervene at some point

caravaggio’s the incredulity of st thomas but it’s just spaghetti grabbing anise by the wrist and shoving their finger inside his abdominal wound bc they “looked like they wanted to”

the first time anise shoved their hand inside a patient they didn’t care what could happen to them, but it made their teacher decide they couldn’t be taught out of their shortcomings which led to them leaving their clan.

now they DO care what happens to their patients, but they still have this morbid, inappropriate fascination with the feeling of people’s insides, only now there’s also some fear and anxiety and regret and something like self-hatred mixed in with the curiosity, all of which spaghetti finds supremely annoying.

anyway it wasn’t getti’s intention but after that anise heals him and i think the experience ends up being kind of cathartic, bc this time their patient invited them to sate their curiosity and they still did their job with no issue and he’s fine. maybe they even become briefly infatuated with him as a result
