Some Eddie Stan's make him look creepy by saying that he'd do the "hanky code" in front of a bunch of 14-17 year olds.

Yeah, that theory has been around for a while and thoroughly debunked by practical thinking. It’s a thrash metal aesthetic, mainly for cleaning your hands while playing guitar. It’s not that deep. Even if he was trying to signal, he wouldn’t do so at a high school when he’s 19-20 years old and hanging out with freshmen. Because Eddie’s not disgusting like that.
