So these aren’t the best pictures I’ve ever taken, but I loved the multiple shades of color in this hydrangea. I wanted to get all four colors in one picture, closer up, but couldn’t. When I moved to the back to get a close up, I found the fifth shade.

These pictures were both taken within a ~20 second period. What the hell did my cat see?

Me: So the in-laws are coming this summer. Not looking forward to getting 700 questions about why we haven’t made a baby yet.

Brother: Well you wouldn’t’ve gotten so far in school if you weren’t a good student. Take notes.

Me: ... Oh my God.

Husband (holding up his glass in a toast): Yes.

On Christmas Eve my husband and I were sitting on the couch and he was rubbing his thumb against the middle of my forehead for some unknown reason and I was basically ignoring it and my widowed grandma looked at us and said, “God, I wish a man would touch me like that!” and that basically sums up my grandma.

It’s 1 pm and the first Wednesday of the month. Time for a tornado siren!

Even if it is snowing.

Brother: I think I went Marine Corps mode and blacked out on the socialist.

Me: The social--

Brother (giggling): Psychologist. That’s the second time I’ve made that mistake today. I’m tired.

At dinner tonight it was obvious the two people behind us were on a date, and the guy was trying to show off and it was kind of weird and then this happened and it was hard not to laugh.

Guy (bragging): I can build a computer from scratch.

Gal (bored): I can build a car from the ground up.

Guy: ...

Guy (awed): That’s...hot.
