One Debt Down. One to go.
Well, that was faster than anticipated. 8 months faster.
Redcrosse and I decided between last night's post and now to pay off the car loan as well as the student loan. I just paid off the car. We're paying off the student loan tomorrow. We're still going to be on a tight budget to replace the savings that we're using to pay off the debts. We'll be able to replace everything by earlier than July. We still have plenty saved so our emergency fund is completely funded.
The reason that we had decided to pay this off was to avoid the 3.9% interest on my car and the interest on my student loan. This way we'll be able to just refund our savings without paying extra money out that we don't need to. We haven't decided if we are going to sell my car yet but at least it's paid off now.
Being on the same page with your spouse is just awesome. Being financially and spiritually and emotionally on the same page is just fantastic. I love it. Talking about everything is something I would absolutely recommend for people to do who are considering getting married. I think that there would have been a lot of turmoil if we hadn't ben single minded about so many major factors of married life. I like being on the same team as my best friend instead of on opposing teams. There is a lot more financial, emotional, and spiritual peace when we're on the same team. I'm glad that we get to be on the same team for life. I have to go finish planning our budget meals.
Peace out!
One more debt to go! WOO! YEAH!
