When you reach your Saturn return (29) you think that’s it, you’re past it! . . Well, I did, anyway. . . I got dumped, had a career crisis, felt like a total failure and gained a LOT of weight because I’d cheer myself up having 2 pizzas for breakfast 😆 . . But during my year of solitude, other than eating a lot and realising that wasn’t making me feel better, I did a lot of personal reflection and discovered pieces of the true me that had been hiding underneath an image I’d constructed which made daily life seem more bearable. . . When I followed that thread and started studying astrology, I embarked on the most exciting and authentic journey of self discovery. . . Then I had a Pluto transit to my Sun when I was about 34. . . Further ego-shattering commenced as I realised I’d still been lying to myself in certain areas of my life. . . I felt like I’d gone back to the drawing board and had to start over from scratch again! Some of the really good bits remained while I had to let go of some much loved aspects of my life. . . I would often compare myself to other people and think everyone’s got this whole adulting thing so figured out! I felt like I was failing again. . . But life isn’t about comparing yourself to others and keeping up with the Joneses. It’s about being happy and being true to who you are (that’s been key for me, anyway). . . Life is full of fresh starts and opportunities to do things again, bigger and better than before. . . Don’t regret the experiences that made you who you are today!
