Ann Hamilton’s tower, Oliver Ranch Foundation, Geyserville, California,
Ann Hamilton’s design is a monumental cylindrical sculpture in the landscape, and it is the visual artist’s first permanent installation. It is an extraordinary and magical performance space with sonorous acoustics.
Roughly 70 feet tall, with a foundation of equal height extending underground, the building was inspired by a centuries-old well that contained double helix steps. Here the twin staircases, each consisting of 128 steps, serve as “stage” and “seating,” intertwining performers and audience without letting them connect.

To any of my followers who live in Sonoma County, CA. Geyserville/Healdsburg area please be on alert as this fire moves quickly. Keep up with Nixle and please evacuate when told. We've been hit before, we can get through this. Please don't hesitate to DM me, while I'm not home,(though I will be if this gets any closer to my town) I went through the first fires back in '17. You're not alone. We are Sonoma Country Strong
I’m under evacuation now. I’ve fled to my parents house with my cat and just a handful of possessions.
23,000 homes are threatened now. 80mph winds expected for tonight, spreading the fire at an unstoppable rate. There’s 2,000+ firefighters battling the blaze. They can’t hold it. It’s just too much.
Usually I would punctuate this post with advice on how to stay safe. But like everyone else I am weak. I’m so tired. Tired of running. Tired of loss. Tired of fear.
Tired of fire.
