please i am obsessed with the idea of boba, din, and grogu developing their own language between the three of them. it's the same process that happens to develop a creole! language contact between two dialects that are not mutually intelligible to each other forces speakers to develop a new language, which is usually built by children and refined as it's passed down to new speakers (a pidgin into a creole) and i just love the idea of them developing a mando'a creole!!
this is the best thing ever! it’s making me emotional! also i know nothing about actual language evolution, so this is extra cool.
what if grogu still goes to train with luke, but spends a significant amount of time with boba and din. and, as he makes friends, a few words of mando’a creole slip into the common parlance of these padawans. and in a few generations, there’s a suspiciously mando’a-sounding jedi-specific dialect?
or, instead, they start picking up diaspora mandalorians, old clones (looooook, what if i ignore the rapid aging thing forever and ever? what if it just does Not), various other people like fennec, who have lost everything else. and they make their own clan, and it grows and the language spreads, and they become a regognisable entity in the galaxy. like, people know not to fuck with the fett-djarin clan.
