I have never been more proud of writing an email that did not contain the c-word or a GFY than I am of the one I just sent.

It took at least six drafts, all of which suggested some colorful variation of fucking oneself, before I could bring myself to omit the instruction entirely. I think the message is still there, to be sure, but objectively, I don't think you can see it on its face. 

I could write a very short book on the many ways to tell someone to go fuck themselves. Especially to that particularly skeevy type of person who plays victim under the guise of playing hero.
