I’m still obsessed with the HBOMax Gossip Girl Thanksgiving episode. Like it was OG quality, rivaling the original’s Thanksgiving episode. Everyone ending up at Zoya’s, especially since I don’t know how many of them she would consider her friend but that makes it better. Particularly Max, who I don’t know if she and he ever really had a conversation at this point but his dad and bio mom arriving separately was hilarious.

There were a lot of little moments like when Audrey was avoiding Aki she grabbed Zoya saying “show me a picture of your grandmother” had me rolling.

Speaking of Aki, he felt like more of a full character and like the actor is getting better. He is becoming the himbo he is meant to be. I love when Zoya walked away after finding out he isn’t busy saying “thanks for the invite.” I also love his mom trying to be the best ally she can be. Including when Aki announced in front of everyone including his mom and Audrey’s mom that they were going to fuck Max again. She was so supportive of his threesome, she will definitely be marching in pride wearing all rainbows for her son. (Idc about Obie being mildly homophobic, idc about Obie).

And Audrey’s mom being so chill about it and even teasing Audrey, I love it! Though I was really worried at the end we were going to find out she like walked off the Brooklyn Bridge. Like given her depression, her attempt earlier in the season, and how giddy she was, sometimes when people before deciding to end their life get a high almost. Like where they know all the problems will be gone soon so they feel like Superman.

The David/Nick bomb about David keeping Nick from the delivery room & from seeing the girls mom one last time was not something I ever expected. Like that was really heavy. Julien was rightfully horrified. And it was so somber.

Then Lucy Punch breaks the silence with her news, saying it with the same gravity that the dads did. I love her so much, can we just put Lucy Punch in everything? Please? More of the whole Wolfe clan!

I feel so bad for Beck, but oh my god is that really the time or place? Also the way she keeps calling Julien, Julie is so grating, and I know it’s on purpose.

And then Aki interrupting the engagement news with asking about his dads voice mail. Then Zoya realizing Julian and Obie slept together.

Like omg it was just BAM BAM BAM BAM! They didn’t miss a beat!

Then the Rafa phone call, like yea he did the right thing in the end with quitting and realizing he was wrong but ugh.

Zoya telling Julien that they aren’t friends or sisters or enemies was A+++ acting, it was chilling.

Then Beck drunkenly dropping a bomb on Gossip Girl herself, perfect way to tie up the ending.
