It's not a lore question, so I apologise. But what do you think of the EU getting screwed over on updates and DLC on -Sign-? Still haven't got elphelt, or Leo and we're still on 1.0 which means we can't play against anyone on version 1.4 :|
That is unfortunate.
If there is anything I could do about it, or even message ARC System Works about it directly (or even the European equivalent of Aksys Games)… I’d say it’s worth asking them directly if possible.
I’ve not heard much good news in the patch department for GG games.
With BlazBlue games it tends to be timely or within the first few weeks of release, but with Accent Core Plus R it was another story.
European Release of GGXXACPR: February 14, 2013 (U.S. +R Patch March 3rd, 2014, no idea when EU got the +R patch if at all).
European Release of GGXrd: June 23rd, 2015 (U.S. release came out December 16th, 2014 with the L.E. being released on December 23rd, 2014… I believe the DLC patches were released a week or so later after the 23rd, and we got extra DLC in January for Christmas and PSPlus colors).
You should’ve gotten everything within at least 2 weeks after that release date like we did, but you didn’t for some unknown reason. So I would seriously contact either ARC System Works or Aksys Games about it and see if they can’t do something about it.
I know for a fact Aksys Games is a big advocate for making sure ARC releases globally and with decent localization to boot.
Contact the group behind the European releases of BlazBlue (PQube Games I think they’re called) while you’re at it… they might be able to pull some strings.
Those of you reading this, Tweet up on it and give it some notice so that PAL territories get some love too!
Any info on the changes made in Guilty Gear X Ver. 1.5? It's probably the most mysterious game in the GG series, since it came out after GGXX(!) and was only ever released for arcades. I know that GGX still occasionally has small tournaments in Japanese arcades, and this must be the version used.
About all I can tell you is that:
---It came out ALMOST A YEAR AFTER Guilty Gear XX had already arrived on NAOMI 2 GD, and GGX 1.5 was exclusive to the Atomiswave (which is strange in and of itself and probably the equivalent of a revised tournament edition to encourage competitive play of GGX ON Atomiswave, though I don't know for how long or how popular Atomiswave actually was active compared to NAOMI since it was a copy of Dreamcast and nowhere near as powerful by spec comparison).
---GGX 1.5 was "likely" a transition game between GGX and GGXX (and a Korean release at that). So you probably won't see much in the way of drastic changes or revisions given the time window, and Justice and Kliff weren't included for obvious reasons.
---Because it was a Korean release, it's unclear if any cosmetic changes were made (though they are likely not as drastic as Korean #Reload's were).
Here's a list of the key release dates for most of the GG games (and side stories for those of you who are interested to know).

Here's a few quirks about this timeline you might find interesting:
--The GG Petit games came out BEFORE GGXPlus introduced Story Mode, which is interesting given we didn't know much of GG's story to begin with at the time, other than what was released for the GG Bible (which came out 05/13/1998) along with any website or Instruction Manual information.
--The GGX Novel Butterfly and Her Gale is considered a "GGX" novel even though it takes place AFTER the events of GGXX.
--The GGXtra Manga is also considered to take place during "GGX" despite having been released AFTER GGXX #Reload was released.
--Oh yes, and the Night of Knives Drama CDs, despite being called "GGXX Drama CDs" actually take place BEFORE the first Guilty Gear!
--GGX Advance Edition was released 2 months after GGXPlus and 1 year and 1 month before GGX 1.5 was released, so despite being a Gameboy Advance game, it is the closest in revisions to GGX 1.5 compared to any other GGX game (other than GGXX) at the time (and it does NOT include Kliff or Justice for that matter so you might say it's semi-balanced???).
