GO GET 'EM... some different coffee... TIGER

At the suggestion of a friend, we found ourselves in one of our favorite neighborhoods, Larchmont, at go get 'em tiger!

GRADE: B+

Emily's thoughts: This morning I feel transported back to NYC but not in the smells like pee and hot trash kind-of-way. This coffee shop is small and constantly bustling. It has been crowded the entire time we sat here but in a good way. It gives the joint a great NYC energy. The guys who take your order are ALL hipstered-out, dark rimmed glasses, grandpa caps, and flannel shirts -- I am wondering if they are told to act like they don't care about anything OR maybe they are hipster ROBOT baristas (it COULD happen). Let's move our attention to the more important task at hand...THE COLD BREW. There is good news and bad news and I'm gonna start with the good news...it comes in a blue mason jar -- yeah I am a sucker for that stuff and think this is beyond fantastic. Bad news -- the cold brew sucks. There is no way around the fact that it basically tastes like water. At this point you are probably wondering why the high grade of a B+...because the food is killer. I had the avocado toast and to be honest I think in this case pictures speak louder than words. See the picture below and it will become clear.   Bonus Point: The sink is located outside of the bathroom so you always know that people are washing their hands #sofreshandsocleanclean

Cailan's thoughts: The main feeling that comes to mind with this coffee is... indifference. I don't love it. I don't hate it. I just don't CARE about it, ya know? I mean, I'm drinking it... It costs $4 per mini mason jar. But liiiiiiike... I could do better. Instead, let's discuss the salmon toast I had today. It was unreal. The thick Texas style but like I'm gonna pretend it's a little healthier bread that was the base of this dish was out of this world. And the perfectly cured salmon... Oh man. The vibe of this joint is pretty rad. As Em said, it felt very NYC West 4th St. to me. I'm not in love with these wooden block stools, but hey... this princess can deal for the time being. Overall, I like the hustle AND the bustle AND the salmon toast. But the cold brew definitely falls short. I do, however, want to try to G&B coffee shake next time I come here (or maybe if we hit up their aforementioned sister shop) in the near future.

Bonus Point: The baristas are that perfect combo of charming and mean -- like that hipster boy in college who would tell you you're beautiful in a text message but wouldn't hold your hand in public, ya know?
