Due to some internal dramatics here at the blog, we’ve decided to archive this blog and call it quits here. 

The social justice scene has become incredibly toxic, as I’m sure most of you are aware, and while you’ll see a few different sides to the situation that took place, it’s unprofessional to air that dirty laundry here (although it was done briefly last night against better judgment). We have had some very immature acts take place here at Greek Gods, and for that I am apologizing - from February 2014 to this March 2015, we’ve had a lot of stuff happen here - a lot of arguments, a lot of stress, a lot of name calling and trash-talking. I’m sorry for that, on behalf of everyone who was ever involved, myself included. 

Like I said, I’ve got some solid resources here on GG, including charities, source information, master posts, and the like. I would have just deleted this blog but I want those resources to remain available to anyone who would like to see them or use them. I know I, from time to time, pull information from posts we’ve made, and I would like others to be able to do that. 

Until next time, though, you can follow our personal blogs and you can move through the posts as you wish. I’ll be doing my own thing for a while, what with moving and getting married, and I know the others who were involved in the past are also experiencing personal things, which is ultimately why I decided to call it quits here. If the blog ever gets back up and running, you’ll all be the first to know, but thank you to my former moderators, from the very beginning, and thank you to the 3,000+ followers we’ve gained over the past year for sticking with us and loving us.

Hello everyone!

It's me, Rhea! I'm just going to give everyone a little update here, since we're enacting some changes in 2015 to Greek Gods!

While some of you may have noticed, most probably haven't. We did it rather silently and amongst ourselves - only 4 mods remain on GG as of this new year due to kicks over inactivity and understandings among ourselves that resulted in moderator resignations. It wasn't anything personal. We all understand what it takes to be a mod, and at the time some just are unable to perform their duties, resulting in resignation. Most old mods still follow us - sending them messages of support will be accepted and posted, and if they permit we will give you their personal blogs to follow. You may see some of them later on drop in, but until then, myself, Dionysus, Panacea, and Tartarus remain.

With that being said, the four of us have decided to possibly take on one new moderator, in which case we'll keep you all updated. Please do not send us applications to become mods until we post an update requesting them. We have a form to fill out and submit, as well as information concerning a "New Mod Probation Period" beta we're going to test out. Haha! More to come there.

As for personal things, we're all kind of working through our own stuff, and without giving too many details I'll simply say that we're all doing our own thing - Dion with a newish job, myself with work and an upcoming trip and soon becoming engaged to my boyfriend, Pan is doing her thing as far as family and therapy, and Tartarus is also doing her thing with health and spending time with loved ones. Mods can give more info as they please but that's just a general feel of what's going on on the personal end of this. We are all people. We will be coming in as we can.

Um...other than this, just know that GG is working on a solid set of rules to enact throughout this year, we're working on some upcoming project ideas, and we're making sure that our activity is more social justice related, including charity boosting and current events boosting, rather than arguing with people who don't deserve our time. We want to raise awareness to the things that need attention, not Tumblr trolls. We've put in place some other cute things as per Dion, including Wacky Wednesday and Funny Fridays, as well as Selfie Saturdays/Sundays! So you'll be seeing more of that, as well as a new theme coming up.

I ended up unfollowing that blog. *sigh* It wasn't worth it for one mod. Especially when you guys and the Egyptian and disney princess, and pokemon, and ughsocialjustice, and les mis ones are so great. I'm glad you guys are so committed to being 1) fair and 2) making sure you don't tarnish all the RSJ blogs. Keep up the good work.

I'm sorry you had to unfollow that blog, but in the end, if it makes you a little happier and less annoyed or frustrated or whatever it is you were feeling after reading that mod's posts, then so be it and continue to do your thing. God forbid you lose interest in helping us fight against these issues through this blogging platform, all because a moderator was making you uncomfortable with their posts. 

Stay positive and any time you have an issue with us or another blog, feel free to come to us or, speaking for the others, those blogs! Most mods are open to the criticism and suggestions, and we here at GG encourage you to be honest and open with us.

anon bout the sim child porn. there was a bunch of simblrs ranting about a person who had their account banned or something and made a new one. and all I know is that that person left but not before people sent me a bunch of anon hate for stating my opinion on the subject.

Sim porn? That's a bit weird... When I saw this post, I assumed it was in reference to what happened last night about child porn (which I did not get into on this blog, for safety's sake) - but sim porn. Was the user you talk about posting pictures of these Sim children in a sexual manner?See, the thing is - animated characters, fictional beings cannot be victims of porn because they are not real and cannot consent because they are not real. So even if the character looks underage, it isn't a child. It has no real feelings or thoughts - it is pixels or line drawings just sitting on a page/webpage. No one forced the fictional character into a room, made them undress and then took pictures of them against their will - because fictional characters don't have will. The only people who can say what can and cannot happen to a fictional character is the creator. That's my stance on this sim child porn, and hentai. ~ Tartarus
