I really absolutely loved this beautiful Fanart of the animated series of Green Lantern of the ship of Tomahia'ta of the characters of Tomar're and Ghia'ta together and especially because I love that in it we see how Tomar're and Ghia'ta are talking together but also because I love how he went to Ghia'ta's planet to see her while talking to her about what had happened in Oa but also because I love how she seems to try to console Tomar're so that she doesn't get stressed about what had happened while I also love as a couple that he went to see her to be able to ask Ghia'ta along with the others Pink Lantern but also because although I am completely aware that the 2 of them did not get to know each other in the animated series despite that I also love to imagine that if we ever got to see them have a Live Action version of the animated series of Green Lantern then we would see in it we would see that Ghia'ta survived but also that she met Tomar're and that we even got to see them having missions together as well as romantic moments but also that in addition to that we came to see that the 2 of them became a very, VERY beautiful romantic couple

Who is she?

Ghia'ta is a young alien woman, one of the tribe of the Zamarons. She is a Star Sapphire and the niece of their queen - Aga'po. Ghia'ta has been raised learning to worship love and her attachment to the cause surpasses that of the average member of the group by far. What she'd been learning, however, is that to love someone means to protect them - shield them from harm's way and give them immortality through encasing them in crystal.

Her views would have been left unchallenged if it were not for her pivotal meeting with Carol Ferris, who teaches Ghia'ta the true meaning of love. This eye-opening moment leads the young woman on the path of reform and through teaching and persuasion she leads the Star Sapphires back to their true purpose of supporting beings in love rather than taking away their freedom. 

What can she do? / What makes her unique?

Ghia'ta is like all the Star Sapphires is a wielder of a power ring fueled by love. Her ring is quite similar to a Green Lantern's (it gives one limited invulnerability, flight, and the ability to shoot light beams and create hard light constructs) but it can also encase a being in crystal (for their protection and preservation) and most importantly bring together parted lovers through portals (allowing them to travel this way even through the whole universe).

What makes her stand out among the other Star Sapphires is the depth of her love for others and its selflessness. She is someone who doesn't hesitate to put herself in harm's way in order to protect true love (like the one she sees between Hal Jordan and Carol Ferris).

She is also willing to admit to her own mistakes and learn from them, becoming a better person and Star Sapphire in the process. At the same time she is not afraid of challenging authority figures (such as her queen and aunt or other senior Star Sapphires) when she realizes they err. This courage and honesty is what earns her respect of the others and a rise in rank - she becomes the queen's advisor and an informal teacher to all the Sapphires. 

Fan Reception / Position in the franchise:

Ghia'ta appears only in 3 episodes but she is one of the characters who have the most development. Even though all together her screen time is relatively short she has left a lasting impression on the GLTAS fandom.

i couldn’t find any DDL’s for it so i haven’t read it yet, but i heard it was actually nice! ;a; some questionable word choice in the narration, but then again, that’s p much lobdell’s signature.

I liked a lot!!!! Kory actually sort of SOUNDED like pre-reboot Kory and there were even signs that the whole amnesia thing is bullshit and just Kory pretending to not remember anything to keep herself from hurting and to keep people from asking questions??? also there were hints of Kory/Dick which made me happy tbh but that only makes me know WHAT EXACTLY HAPPENED BETWEEN THEM. 

also, Jason interacting with Damian, Alfred and Bruce was pretty spot on imo, and I liked the twist in the end. I know people are pissed, buuuut. I liked it. I thought it was interesting, and I doubt it'll stick, but still weirdly excited about what's coming up, especially since next issue is Lobdell's last before Tynion takes over, and I'm enjoying what he's been doing in Talon, so!

i’ve chosen to interpret cassie/jaime scenes as platonic friendship, so i don’t really mind that anymore! what i really enjoyed about this issue tho was that gar’s mom has P MUCH BEEN CONFIRMED AS QUEER!!!!!! but no one is really talking about it…which is understandable, given the fact that so much stuff was crammed in this issue, but WOW, I’M V HAPPY ABOUT THAT! even though she died only moments later…

not going to lie, I was really excited about it and went "!!!!!!1" but then wasn't when... she died? kind of because of it? i just can't look past the fact that queen bee took advantage of her sexuality to kill her tbh.

lol you can just call me xingli :P and yea, I don’t even know what was going on in issue 25…..yikes ikr? I hate the way they’re treating his other love interests. Like wow, Bette was his one night stand, Rocket was barely developed and Zatanna was reduced to a stepping stone in his path to his “one true love” Babs.

that was some bullshit, man. I didn't have a problem with Dick having a one stand with Bette before like fandom did, because, well, YJ Dick and comics Dick have always been different in some aspects, despite fundamentally being the same person. So, I was cool with it. But yeah, now I can't even think about it without @____@ because they turned Bette into a cheap ploy and obstacle in the way of ~*Dick and Babs*~ and it's gross. Same goes with Zatanna and Rocket.

i just finished reading it. l…mao…. WHAT…….. i liked everything else in the comic, as messy as it was. but that ending… lmao. i can’t.

there was just so much of... everything? and yet nothing?? I understand they were canceled, but wow. So much fail. Also, LOL that Jaime/Cassie moment. I predict people being pissed because everyone seems to be shipping Cassie/Roy these days.
