If you drive down Ostend Street towards Light Street here in South Baltimore, if you look to your left when you’re waiting at the Hanover Street stoplight, you will see the faded remnants of an old gin ad. I’ve been meaning to take photos of this thing for years, but seeing how the paint is fading, I wanted to try and capture what was left of it a few weeks ago.
Baltimore has a bunch of really cool ghost ads and signs like that--the most famous being the sign exhorting people to vote against Prohibition in Fells Point--and I want to make a point of capturing photos of them and sharing them here.
