Brain thinking of Lego dimensions and its implications for the bigger Lego connected and cinematic universe as a whole and an old au from years ago

For anyone who doesn’t know, Lego Dimensions is a Xbox 360 game that followed the Skylanders formula of irl toy to game mechanic. The main villain of this game is a being called Lord Vortech and he wants to collapse all dimensions in an effort for ultimate power and perfection. He’s a cosmic entity of a being who controls time and space with his staff and he can summon basically anything from any dimension. In the game you get to play as Batman, Wyldstyle and Gandalf as they find themselves flying through dimensions to save their kidnapped friends and save the multiverse. If you ever get a chance to play the base game I recommend it cus its peak.

This however got me thinking, cus every single Lego franchise is connected through Lego as shown in the original Lego movie. (And this by extension also means like kingdom hearts as well but I’m not deep into kingdom hearts enough for that talk). And especially since we play as Wyldstyle through the game (even though it’s kinda been retconned by the games later BUT WE DONT TALK ABOUT THAT) it pulls a very interesting thought into my head.

Vortech is an independent actor, he moves through dimensions by his own action and by his own will, but he can only interact with the Lego Dimensions. The Lego Dimensions are a result of play and imagination so therefore him acting as he does is what makes him dangerous, HOWEVER, he can only interact with that plane. There is someone who can interact with the physical dimensions of our existence, and that is Rex/ Emmet.

While Emmet could only move slightly on his own accord in the original movie, Rex can do basically whatever he wants thorough sheer determination.

Sooo where does all this insane rambling bring us. AN OLD AU FROM YEARS AGO THATS WHERE WE ARE GOING

I THINK IT COULD BE FUCKING AMAZING IF THE FINAL ACT OF THE LEGO MOVIES WERE A COLLAB OF THE CINEMATIC UNIVERSES + VORTECH AS WE GET A COOL FUCKING SHOWDOWN

Cus imagine Rex and Vortech working together. Rex is still hurt from what he did and Vortech is furious over his lost in the game. One who can create anything and one who has the power to destroy everything.

Random idea for how a lego dimensions 2 could work with the characters and how to save costs while also making good money, my idea is have the total cost for the game (Portal pad and set included) would be like, $40, but separately they'd be $10 for the set cause of how small it is, same with the portal pad (dimension trio figs included), and the game is $20 (if only), and then for all the other characters you got would come in solo, duo, or trio packs, that only include the minifig, and would cost as much (solo is 3, duo is 5, and a trio is 10).

and each team pack could have a name, like, for Ninjago you got a trio pack with Lloyd, Sora, and Arin, called Dragons Rising, or a duo pack called raincloud for Jay and Nya, and then lava for Cole and Kai, Compatible for Pixal and Zane, and Ras gets a solo pack, and Brotherly Rivalry for Garmadon and Wu, for Sonic you got Team Sonic trio pack, CD duo pack with Amy and Metal, Team Dark duo or trio pack with Shadow & Rougez and maybe Eggman, Lego Movie, the Vest-Friends duo pack with Emmet twice, CooCoo Spaceship with Unikitty and Benny, DC we got the Superman and Lex duo pack, Nightwing & Bat-Girl, Joker & Harley, Flash & Captain Cold, Wonder Woman & Green Lantern, and Catwoman solo pack.

if you're wondering where all the vehicles are, they could be unlocked with the character, like you put Shadow on the portal you get his bike, and its like LotDK where you can choose which vehicle you use, and some characters get them, some don't, it also means that they can be bigger than the models built.

Now with me saying the game and portal and sets being sold separately, you can choose to not buy the base set, but you can get like portal sets (i guess), like they're sets that look like themed portals, like the Sonic one looks like green hill, and the Ninjago one looks like a monastery, and they could come with minifigs themselves, like Eggman and Sonic, or Wu and Garmadon.

Now there would be new series I'd add, LMK with ShadowPeach, Traffic Light trio, and Pigsy and Tang packs, Nexo Knight packs, Star Wars, TMNT, (Mortal Kombat if I could but its more likely we'll get Lego Batman Movie 2), with a Lord Vortech solo pack as well, and others.

2016 saw Sonic go against Mario for the Olympics across Wii U and 3DS! Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice would came out on the 3DS along with the second season, and LEGO Dimensions would release a Sonic level pack. Sonic: Mega Drive One-Shot also released by Archie with Tyson Hesse!

Legacy of the Final Showdown

After abandoning his friends for a clown, batman gets taken by surprise, getting sent to the phantom zone. Now inside the phantom zone, batman finds out he's been acting like a real jerk. Being the great detective he is, batman bribes the phantom zone guard to free him, let him fix his mistakes, and return the bad guys that Paul feig had created.
