chapter 23 copia...
+ closeup, alt and ref below
personally, i think the weird vibes between copia and sister are a result of the fact they never actually had an honest relationship until now. sister has been weird about calling him papa before, they've always toyed that line of motherly affection but never grew into it.
now with this chapter, i think it's clear she never fully embraced her role as a mother before because she couldn't risk it. and copia was never the son of anyone before the movie. these roles in their actual realisation are so foreign to them and they have no idea how to work that out. it's awkward as fuck. but it was an attempt.
Copia’s big ass head looks so weird to me after seeing Perpetua only for most of the year. Good lord man he is built like a funko pop.
Ok everyone that cried at the new chapter raise you hand please (I am one of those people ✋)
MY SWEET BABY LOOK AT HIM
Sir, please get a proper mattress
Chapter 23 thoughts:
under the cut rambling in case spoilers
Was the budget for editing the last chapter just 2 dollars and some hopes and dreams?
Why does he have such a low frame rate?
Who stole his frames???
Anyone else think Copia was dreaming the whole interaction?
-He's never called her "Mom" openly before.
-In the last chapter he was watching vids of her younger and she showed up younger.
-Maybe he's getting the idea to let up on V, that his dislike or hostility is making him miserable and lonely and to hone in on his mother while in his position. He's clearly lonely so imagining her or calling on her spirit to help him may help him cope.
-Skeletour ends here could be a hope that it will not be much longer so he can do what he wants? (Idk grasping at straws with that)
-the end with the part in the show where the window backdrop "breaks" could be his subconsciously warning him that the ministry could crumble if he turns his back on V, the ghouls, the "family business" (again gasping at straws also it was just a good transitional way to end the song and vid)
