HexaRide Opens in Odaiba 11.2.2018
A new VR experience opened in Odaiba today! Right now it’s featuring Ghost in the Shell Ghost Chaser but soon it will also offer an Attack on Titan experience as well so we went to check it out.
The attraction is 10 minutes long and you sit on this hexagon shaped device on pistons and wear a VR helmet and headphones. The attraction is available in three different languages Japanese, English and Chinese. The pricing is 1000¥ for people over 18, 800¥ for kids aged 13 -18 and 400¥ for kids under 13. Also if you have more than 5 people in your group you can receive a 10% discount.
We asked the staff if they knew when the start date would be for the SNK version of the ride but they said it was still to be announced. The ticket does already have an option for SNK already on it though so hopefully it will open soon!
At the big VGJunk site today: breaking and entering, harrassment (of ghosts) and treasure theft - all criminal acts performed by the dungaree-clad “hero” of the Commodore 64 game Ghost Chaser! Also, scary hotdogs. Read all about it here!
I really liked Ghost Chaser despite being fantastically bad at it.
Fanda through Access Software also released the strategy game Scrolls of Abadon the same year, also programmed by Frank Cohen. The protagonists in both that game and this one are nearly identical, I’m not sure which one played off the other.
Ghost Chaser, Commodore 64.
Sorry, I just realized my ask box wasn't open. NOW IT IS! NOW GO FORTH, ASK AS MANY QUESTIONS AS YOU CAN!
