Im gonna say Corazon was more driven by his primal instincts and emotions when law was younger because he was freshly back from the dead himself. He starts to act like himself as law grows up, growing in strength as a spirit himself and gains a more physical form.
After a couple bad encounters with stray pirates young laws starting to realize he might be haunted by his dad 🫣

He’s quite the gruesome looking gentleman I say 👹
He starts off as the shadow and over the years gains the ability to make himself more physical. The shadows definitely more aggressive and primitive.
