This is based off of my AU, Dearly Departed: A Dead Dib AU on AO3! It’s not gotten very far, especially because I’ve had to go back and adjust the first chapter due to 17 yo me mischaracterizing the FUCK out of Zim oh my god. But it’s a WIP! The lyrics are from this awesome song “elephant cage” by an artist called overtonight!

I did 24 pages of comic with Ghoust Dib in 2022, but I`m too laze to polish it. Maybe wiil show some pages later.

You guys should read my au where zim is a human and is tormented by the ghost of dib whom he murdered in self defense then threw into a river

this is what happened then i was in a spooky mood and listened to ghost song while i doodled...

it was originally just me sketching ghost Dib but it become semi coherent

the vague idea is that Dib died hass a young adult, maybe killed by Zim. had regrets and come back has a ghost. meanwhile Zim Regrets it/misses him and begins to wear one of his jackets so it becomes easy for Dib to follow him around but Zim can’t see, hear or feel him becouse Dib is a weak ghost

after a while Zim tries to revive Dib but only creates a zombie. He may try other stuff too but it always end in failure, maybe because of interference by Dib

so Dib haunts Zim continuously and is slowly growing stronger, Gir and Mini moose can see him at least sometimes. but has his strength grows he losses control sometimes most likely becouse of strong negative feelings

Zim eventually becomes able to see him, then some shenanigans happens and somehow it have a happy ending?
