Since also tsunderplane react to chara's check, could it be that it is just a plane possessed by a ghost? That would explain their explosion and not becoming dust after being killed.
I’ve noticed a few people sharing that same train of thought. And... it’s a possibility... there’s nothing that concretely implies tsunderplane isn’t a possessed object like Mad Dummy.
Monsters are incredibly diverse and we are never given clear parameters on the different monster types and how to recognize a monster that looks like a plane from a monster that is inhabiting a plane body.
But tsunderplane is referred to as a “local plane” in the news scroll during the MTT news report too sooooo...
