Okay, so I was going to write a whole post about how I think Kris is intended as a narrative fusion of Chara and Frisk, being both a child of Torigore and brother of Asriel(Chara) while also being the player's vessel who is their own separate character from the player(Frisk), but while I was thinking about that my brain went "what if Chara is short for Character in the same sense that Kris's name is short for Krismas," so now I'm sat here wondering if Chara's full name in the universe of Undertale is "Character Dreemurr" until the player retroactively names the first human later or if Toriel and Asgore are that bad at names

I was just thinking about an alternate timeline where Undertale came out in chapters and there were months between releases so when we got to the Hotland chapter there was months of YouTube videos talking about fun values and goners and how the boat person says something about a hand man. Then they find a hidden music file in the code and something about room 66 and the names of files. Then they collectively notice that we haven't been shown the character that tells Frisk to get up when you game over so-GASP, it must be the hand man!

Then the last chapter of Undertale comes out and it's just about the tragedy that befell the Dreemurr family, the monsters trapped in the underground, and the king doing whatever it takes to set them free was the voice you hear at game over. It climaxes with the revelations about what Alphys did in the true lab and showing us what Asriel became. Then it lets us save him and everyone.

All those theorists are gobsmacked. Where was the hand man? The secret song, the goners, and messages in the code? Did they mean nothing? There was outrage and backlash, all over the hand man that was never in the narrative to begin with, just an easter egg.

That'd be crazy huh?

my head Canon fills in gaps but is pretty close to Canon, so technically not canon but close!

okay so after doing some research I have found out that apparently my theory is actually Canon, a monster's body is made out of pure magic and is closely tied to their soul. it is stated by monsters that they believe that their souls are made from love, hope, and compassion though that is not outright scientifically stated but it does have some backing considering that they actually become weaker if they don't want to actually fight you. so if we run with that logic that therefore makes it Canon that a monster's appearance and how their magic Works will actually change base on their personality changing, if you want to run with this you are perfectly allowed to and if you don't then you are also allowed to as there's nothing to prove this is not canon but doesn't mean that you have to use it. I love you guys and I all hope you have a fun time creating more lovely characters!

Undertale x Deltarune Fan-Headcanon AU Ship Theory: Tenna + Happstablook + Spamton = Mettaton (Is Papyrus's Robot/Ghost Boyfriend Is A Fusion...?)

so if Mettaton from Undertale was a Fusion...

but like if both timelines and universes of Undertale and Deltarune were merged into one timeline in one of the infinite alternate universes...

and the TV that makes up Tenna, and also the Glasses that make up Spamton, were to be used to give Happstablook a body...

but it wouldn't just be Happstablook that would become someone internally new, because they be fused together to make Mettaton.

and if The Ghost part of Mettaton is called Happstablook...

then the Darkner parts, that make up Tenna and Spamton...

would be the other parts of Mettaton.

plus Tenna, Happstablook and Spamton would be in a Throuple...

but as Mettaton, they are deeply in love with Papyrus...

and I guess if the three components of Mettaton, did end up falling for Papyrus as well...

that would mean that Papyrus would technically have Four Boyfriends...

it is just the Three Boyfriends fuse into the Fourth.

and I guess just like Garnet (from Steven Universe)

something can upset the Three enough to cause them to un-fuse.

so picture Sans coming home with some pizza, like how Greg was coming back with Pizza, and he found out Ruby and Sapphire had un-fused...

but it's Sans who finds out that it is Tenna, Happstablook and Spamton who had un-fused.

Papyrus might end up being the peace keeper between them.

making sure whatever caused them to un-fuse and be upset with each other doesn't get out of hand.

but yeah even if it isn't in all fanon timelines in the multiverse that holds all of the Undertale and Deltarune AU...

but chances are, in some of them, Mettaton is a fusion of Tenna, Spamton and Happstablook.

which means if in one of the Fanon Timelines, Papyrus and Mettaton are together, it would mean that Papyrus is dating a Fusion.

like at first it could of been just Spamton x Tenna, but then they ended up falling for Happstablook, and they ended up fusing and becoming Mettaton.

it is still Papyrus x Mettaton, but Mettaton is a fusion of Spamton, Tenna and Happstablook.

plus if you take the "M" and "Ton" from "Spamton"

and also the "E" and the "T" from "Tenna"

and also the "T" and "A" from "Happstablook"

it can spell out "METTATON" if you arrange it just right.

also not everyone has to agree that if Tenna, Spamton and Happstablook were in a Polyamory Throuple type of relationship...

they would end up becoming a Fusion, and that Fusion would be Mettaton, who would then end up in a relationship with Papyrus.

but also Tenna, Happstablook and Spamton would also end up with Papyrus as well.

but yeah this is more of a Fanon and Fan-Headcanon type of idea...

that Papyrus's Ghost/Robot Boyfriend was a Fusion,

and his Boyfriend Mettaton, is a Fusion of Spamton, Happstablook and Tenna.

not sure if many will end up liking that idea or not, but I like the idea.

plus the idea might stay in the Fanon Zone, it isn't likely to be canon...

so the theory of Mettaton being a fusion of Tenna, Happstablook and Spamton, would be more of a Fanon type Fan-Headcanon that happens in of the Crossover AU of Undertale and Deltarune...

but yeah, in most timelines, Papyrus is dating a Fusion version of Mettaton...

but if you think about, Mettaton is technically a fusion already...

same goes for Mad Mew Mew from Undertale

and also their Counterpart Pink from Deltarune.

so yeah, besides Mettaton being a fusion of Tenna, Happstablook and Spamton...

even if it is just Happstablook with the Robot Body that makes him Mettaton,

his Ghost Half and Robot Half are technically a fusion...

but it still nice to think of Tenna and Spamton being part of Mettaton as well, even if it is only in one or a few of the Fanon Timeline AUs.

A little theory about Gaster follower 2

Gaster follower 2 is an analog for the scared donut guy found in both Deltarune and Undertale. Like most of the Gaster followers they share the same silhouette in all of their full body sprites .

Importantly they state that they are holding a piece of Gaster, this seems to be alluding to the face that appears on their hand in their Gaster follower form. Interestingly however, they are not holding that head, instead it appears to be a part of their hand, it is also the only part that moves its mouth during speech, however in all their forms their arms move during speech. SO WHAT ARE THEY HOLDING THEN??? That is a great question that you probably didn't ask, and I raise you, themselves, the only thing they are holding onto is their own head. So, if their words are to be believed, they are a piece of Gaster. Interestingly when examining their design (no i'm not going crazy) I noticed a few... very, very interesting patterns. First of all their skin is green, that is a good start because that already ties them to Gaster. They also have the spikes on the back of their head which is similar to another royal scientist, Alphys! The spikes also (if you're willing to stretch your mind a little bit) resemble the back of a Gaster blaster. The coat they are wearing kind also vaguely resembles a lab coat though thats probably coincidence. And finally as I mentioned above they speak with their hands, in their Gaster follower form this is literal but in their "colored" form they pnly ever move their arms when speaking.

I believe that all the Gaster followers are the pieces or aspects of Gaster, shattered across space and time.
