After Ganondorf forces took control over Hyrule, the market turned into a ghost town. Everything is doomed and destructed. It's is supposed many people have died in between 7 years since Link entered the Temple of Light and triggered his time-travel journey. Nonetheless there is a very interesting character in this dead town, the Poe Collector, who rules the Ghost Shop. He uses to buy and collect different kinds of poes that Link can find in many hyrulean areas.
