Little idea that the ghost yetis HATE and fear large bodies of water since they tend to drown a lot for a few reasons.
1) Hard to find liquid water without breaking the ice, let alone enough to swim in, so pretty difficult for them to have swimming lessons.
2) Their fur is built for the cold air, yes, but not water and they can actually get a little cold from it. Not enough to cause problems, but definitely make them uncomfortable if they manage to survive long enough to get out.
4) Generational Trauma and warnings about falling through the ice and drowning so the little ones don’t go out onto the ice.
The liquid stuff we saw Danny floating in is an exception since it was Anti-Freeze and is used by the ghost yetis in the medical field. Young ones are taught about it and how the mask helps them breathe.
I know this kinda doesn’t make sense, but I’d love for Frostbite or some other ghost yeti to be somewhere near a liquid lake or something with Danny, and Danny ends up falling into the water while unable to fly for whatever reason and the adult panics even when Danny resurfaces until he begins swimming back to them and climbs out a-okay.
I’d love to see them watch in horror as the Everlasting Trio end up in the water, but slowly calm down once they see the three of them begin to play by splashing each other or playing the game “Marco, Polo”.
Or maybe just a short story about Danny being bored in the anti-freeze tank and he begins swimming around, making sure not to pull on the mask or anything, and Frostbite notices how easy it is for Danny to move around.
