im glad she at least kinda doesnt have a deadname to worry about since she never went by her first name anyway? i mean michaels is KIND of a deadname but its not for gender reasons so maybe it doesnt have the same weight to it (its for bad relationship with father reasons, also no not inspired by who youre thinking of its a total coincidence)

btw thats kind of why shes trans lmao, i was like oh isnt it funny that this character like refuses to let anyone call them by their original legal name isnt that so weird. and then i was like oh yeah theres like an entire demographic of people who have a tradition of doing that. btw the reason for that is she originally just had my name (bc remember loren and michaels are both characters who were originally self inserts) and i just couldnt think of a better name so we used her last name as a placeholder until i thought of one and i never did.

oh yeah i should make a post clarifying for future reference in case anyone gets confused. so michaels is definitely 100% a transfem egg and im going to have that in mind for the events of TWW (idk how thats going to impact things or if it will we will have to see)

but when discussing the narrative of TWW and treating it like the present (even though it takes place in 2009) i will use he/him pronouns and refer to him as michaels because like, thats what he goes by at that time.

when speaking about this character in the future i use she/her pronouns and refer to her as april (she also changes her last name so calling her michaels is literally not accurate anyway, i havent decided what her new last name is but i can just call her april so its not a big deal).

i dont know how michaels conceptualizes his gender as a teenager i figure he probably just tries not to think about it since thats kinda how he handles most things, and i also dont know how april retroactively genders past versions of herself. until that information comes to me and contradicts what im doing (which is possible, i dont have that much conscious control over my characters) this is how im doin it.

started restructuring TWW and lori was like "really funny that we're basing a whole ass villain off our high school guidance counselor" and i was like he was such a villain irl hes so easy to just insert into the story.

mainly i think i am thinking about this because im having some thoughts about splitting saye lately. i think that she kind of wants to be split. maybe not like her personally but her characterization has been moving towards having two semi competing sides (esp irt gender, like god its really bad on the gender front) and i want to personify the other side. this has ALWAYS been a thing with saye, ive been compelled to give her a shadow self spectre, i used to use tuenti for that purpose but now that hes gone (scrapped him) it feels like theres a role thats not being filled.
