i didnt get to see what everyones human forms look like because my eyesight is too bad lol, i could see most of the movie just fine because its cartoons with big shapes but anything that was realistic was just mush to me

i dont really get why people hate jax so much. are we using she/her for her now? im gonna do that, it wasnt super explicit but i think that was meant to be confirmation enough.

anyway, i think it kinda sucks that the other characters didnt get expansive character arcs like she did but i mean, shes supposedly a self insert character so that feels kind of natural. i tend to view things as a product of their creator BEFORE a narrative on its own (because im a creative and i make stuff to process my emotions and sense of self okay)

but like, as a result shes kind of a way more interesting character than everyone else besides maybe caine (the only other character that got a character arc) and like yeah shes complicated but well shes a character, thats how you make those things interesting. most other characters dont really have flaws and they feel kind of underdeveloped and boring as a result. i mean jax isnt my FAVORITE character but its got nothing to do with her being mean or unpleasant or anything (i dont dislike her either, shes interesting enough just not my literal favorite)

oh yeah i suggested to my husband that you can probably read caine as like a personification of gooseworx's like creative spirit and the circus is like literally the show the amazing digital circus and that kinda makes everything make a lot of sense

what people don’t understand about how adhd is disabling is that it’s not just getting temporarily distracted from, like, school work or hobbies. it’s getting distracted/being unable to motivate yourself to go to the doctor, eat regularly, do hygiene tasks, etc. it’s not knowing when or how long it will take you to do something, ANYTHING, and in many cases that thing is taking a shower or keeping your house from turning into a biohazard. it’s about being fundamentally incapable of controlling your attention and focus on anything, even and especially things you need to do to survive.

so far one theme of the 30s for me has been realizing that literally every human being on earth who appears completely cool and collected and together with it at first glance has some threshold past which enough known information about them will shatter that mystique completely. i don't even say this negatively or pessimistically it's just been helpful to keep in mind that we're all like that.
