Some little speech pattern differences between Vian and Ghostan bc I wanted to show the differences!
They would not end up in the same situations but if they did the differences would be this!
Vian: “Oh I’m just making sure Chord is okay.”
Ghostan: “I’m makin sure Chord’s okay! Blurry memories around someone good mean something’s wrong usually….So I’m checking!”
Vian: “plus I wanted to see you and Orde, given you two ARE in the area” (a little emphasis on the are for dramatic effect, Vian does stuff like that)
Ghostan: “also I wanted to see you and Orde! My amazing triplet brothers!”
(Context: Vian looked over before immediately realizing shit he made a extra room but he played it off “it’s for if you ever have to sleep in this area of the cave system” Vian said playing it off as if he didn’t truly expect Lee to stay)
Vian: “it’s for if you ever have to sleep in this area of the cave system, it’s good to have a bed.”
Ghostan: “Oh! Ops I did that accidentally….. But! It’s for you! (Softer voice starts) Um you don’t have to use it though!”
(Context: Vian shrugged “there’s a garden out back I think you can fix it alone I refuse to touch that thing” Vian said refusing because it reminded him too much of Orde so Vian didn’t want to mess with it but at least would let Lee do so)
Vian: “there’s a garden out back, I think you can fix it. (Speeds up voice ever so slightly) But don’t expect my help, I don’t touch that thing.”
Ghostan: “Oh! There’s a garden out back, it belongs to Orde, uh but I doubt he’ll mind us using it! It’s got a lottt of potatoes…. Or at least did have a lot.. (voice quiets a bit, sounds soft and confused, less fast) but Orde hasn’t used it in a whiiile for some reason?”
(Context: Vian shrugged “in all honesty the owner isn’t coming back and I’m leaving soon you can have it” Vian said just admitting he was leaving soon with or without his journal)
Vian: “In all honesty the owner isn’t coming back and I’m leaving soon, (short pause) so you can have it if you like?”
Ghostan: “i don’t think my dad is coming back, so uh you can have it? I don’t like staying in the same place for long (voice speeds up and becomes happier) And! I like being outside a lotttt more then inside!”
(Context: Vian took the food and nodded before he gave some to the wolves and Steve just hand feeding them then Vian got up “I’ll try not to commit arson” Vian said as a joke while walking over to the kitchen while Cosmos followed)
Vian: “I’ll try not to commit arson” (his tone didn’t change much but a little tint of a humorous tone in his voice but not much)
Ghostan: “uhhh I’m uh not the best at cooking…. so uh you miiighttt want to do it instead….” (he’d pick Cosmos up and hold the sheep in his arms while speaking, for comfort when explaining, while leaning his back against Steve and letting the wolves surround him)
