✦ — When she had first been assigned to watch over her latest charge, she had been a little bit hesitant to do so. She’d never had to watch over someone who had died before, but she accepted the job. Not only because she didn’t have a choice, but because she knew it would be a challenge and that it would be something that would benefit not only her and Tao, but the greater good. Whitelighters were never assigned to protect people who weren’t going to positively impact the world in some way, shape or form at some point in their lifetime. And from what she had gathered after watching over Tao for a few months was that he was a good man with a great head on his shoulders. Now she just had to make sure that he stayed out of trouble, which he seemed to be doing a good job of himself. She was finally given permission to interact with him after several months, but she still couldn’t tell him what or who she was. She was alright with that - people usually freaked out when you tell them that technically you’re dead. She tapped her fingers against her thigh as she sat on a bench outside, patiently waiting to see if she would be able to spot Tao at some point in time. She was sure that she would - she was not too far from where he lived. It was only a matter of time. And it seemed as though time was on her side, because she hadn’t been waiting for too long before he appeared in her vision. She perked up, quickly standing from her seat. “Hey! Um, Tao, right?” She greeted awkwardly, staring up at him. // @ghostly-tao
