WZM VOL. 1 IS OUT NOW FOR FREE DL + CD ON @businesscasual-biz!!!
This was a year long endeavor to bring a concept album to the public where I warp through my computer over to Burbank, hang out with the scrunkly of all time Wakko Warner and make a Jungle DnB album with him after finding out he's been a rave producer for decades.
It was made in part to challenge myself to integrate more of my interests into my music. I felt a lot of the things I've created over the growing years have become less and less personal, so I wanted to try and make an effort to throw out that mindset.
I also wanted to remind people that it's an important part of your work, to put as much of yourself as you feel comfortable inserting into whatever you make. You shouldn't devote your creations entirely to trends and things just because they're popular, you lose yourself by only sticking with the crowds. It's important to be yourself and to take risks in that, even if it comes off as "cringe".
Also Wakko is just a mega cutie and his humor has kept me going through many countless hardships!
Huge thanks to @crashpit, @cringetownusa, @rottenrodentruby, @starlingdrawz and @bamteam2024 for contributing art to this release! This was the coolest set of collaborations this career has ever seen!
Massive thanks to all the friends I've made over the course of writing this! Especially the ones from Yakko's Ball Pit and The Warner Watertower!
Incredibly large thanks to my partner for sticking with me through all of this!
And the biggest thanks of all goes to Jess Harnell and the team which was initially responsible for creating Wakko Warner. He may not be your Mickey Mouse or Spongebob or Amazing Digital Circus, but after everything I've been through and been able to laugh off thanks to him, that lil guy means everything to me and that isn't gonna change anytime soon. I just hope whoever reads this and or listens to the album can have something or someone in their life that gives them the same strength.
