OOOOH YEAH. It is an INGRAINED thing for me (and I’m sure other baristas too) to automatically ask someone if they want room in their coffee, like even if they say black coffee, i ask. and there are people who will say no, and pour part of their coffee into the trash. I’VE !! I’ve even tried to stop people!! And be like “hey, i can pour some of that out for you!” and they’re like “no, it’s fine!” and do it anyway... like... would u do that in your own house? pour liquids into the trash can??? i think people are just so used to casually disrespecting service people that they don’t even factor in common courtesy anymore
