Picturesque 19th Century painted wall in Ballard, Washington, advertising Elgin Watches to be "Guaranteed Without Defects."
It seems that every American town has at least one good ghostsign. This is a contender for Bryson City, North Carolina.

"LOOKING BACK"
by D*face
Bored with the routine of his freelance illustration and design work London-based Dean Stockton began "pushing a pencil round a piece of paper dreaming up ways to...break the chains holding me to my desk." Adopting the moniker D*face and developing his cast of characters while refining the style he refers to as "aPOPcalyptic" Stockton began his rise to street art and gallery fame 15 years ago. D*face says he's always been fascinated by ghost signs—the faded advertisements of a bygone era—so when invited to participate in Montreal's @MuralFestival in 2016 he replicated those signs with foreground text relating to his family's emigration from Montreal in 1915. This stunning addition to the city's urban landscape is on St Dominique St behind @Station16Gallery @dface_official/
