Burger King Gets Spirits to Taste Its Ghost Whopper
Burger King is venturing into the spirit realm in its latest ad. In the fast-food restaurants latest ad, they get spirits to taste their latest concoction called a Ghost Whopper. In the ad which comes just in time for Halloween, we see the fast-food chain enlist the help of a famed medium to get spirits to taste their Halloween inspired Whooper.
About the Ghost Whopper Spot
In the spot, we see the fast-food brand conduct the first-ever ‘Spirit Taste Test’. They enlist the help of master medium and trance-channeler Riz Mirza. Riz Mirza takes a series of people through a fast-food séance. These people have agreed to take place in the experiment. They do the fast food séance in a famed Los Angeles haunt, the Alexandria Hotel. We see Mirza let spirits take over his body so they could taste Burger King’s Ghost Whopper. Mirza contacts the spirits that roam the hotel and have them taste the Ghost Whopper
He allows the spirits to taste the burger through him. In the spot, we see Mirza channel the spirits, they each have distinctive voices and personalities which shine even though they are spoken through him. Most of the spirits give positive back except one who flings the burger across the room while yelling “It is filth.” Other spirits are big fans of the meal, one spirit asks for another.
A total of 11 spirits tasted the burger and out of the 11 spirits, 10 approved of the burger. That’s a good score ( don’t you think). The Ghost burger is a limited-edition burger with a ghostly white cheddar bun. It is available for a limited time in select cities.
This Halloween inspired burger is reminiscent of the brand’s other inspire burger. In 2015, they tried out a black Whopper burger for Halloween.
